  1. Take a look at the record books and I have followed both west and beach during their high school years and if I'm not mistaken beach has 70 total yards playing L.c. his senior year and west had 150+ enough said of who was the better high school player, much like clark and thomas........clark dont have the extra leg muscle that most scoouts look for!!!!!
  2. I'll take the dawgs 20-16 at the pound!!:ylsuper:
  3. Is this even argueable?.. Clark hands down is the better back! Thomas has done nothing and all this hype about him being a great back is non sense, until he proves himself! This reminds me of Beach and West arguement of who is better, but all I can say is look at the record books.
  4. #11 suffered a hyper extended knee and #40 is ok..just a hard landing on his neck...nothing major.
  5. Where do you get that Mayos not good enough to be a elite player in the Nba. He has already accomplished more than lebron and mayo still has a year to go. I'm sure coach smith will regret not taking mayo when mayo signs that contract that is more money then he has made in his lifetime. Mayo still has some improvements to make but give him time and he will dominate college and NBA! I'd love to see hunington high play oak hill and watch Mayo make everyone on smiths team look silly. Coach smith would just sit back and scratch his head regreting saying that about mayo. I wouldnt care to bet that mayo wins mr. basketball in WV. this year. Do I have any takers? Didnt think so..haha
  6. #40, #23,#11 , are all beast that will completly take over this game for L.c. The emory kid is a great player that leads the team in tackles...he is a undersize linebacker but his performance and determination makes up for it. Roberts is undersize at 5'6 but has the heart of a giant! He is almost a guarantee for 100+ rushing yards a game and 10 tackles on defense a game..Your looking at the most under rated player in the state. #11 is a GREAT player also..he is not the quickest or the strongest but he does his job and brings alot to the team on and off the field, hes a great young man! I thought you would know I was being sarcastic in my entrys but one thing for sure is, You'll know these 3 guys are on the field punishing ball runners regardless of the outcome of the game. I'll take my dawgs in this one anyways and say 18-16 in a MAJOR upset here at home in the pound!
  7. L.C. by as many as they want! J.c. appears to be to weak and the dawgs will dominate them very easy.. the younger dawgs will have lots of playing time in this one..
  8. Hopefully I dont get my self in trouble but Goldsmith is not the coach he use to be in the 80's and 90's. If it was me, I would fire every single coach there and hire a completly new staff. The talent is there..but the coaching isnt and thats the reason the dawgs are 0-3. How can the young players get better when they dont even condition anymore. It's like the coaches has gave up on trying and just quit. If you went to a practice, you'd be amazed how poorly the coaches are doing. I attend almost every practice and I feel like taking over and doing the job for the coaches. Mark this down also...Goldsmith is leaveing after this year. One more thing 7-18 is not on the rise up, so i dont know where you get that from. Hope everyone proves me wrong though, I'm a bulldog and have lived in Lawrence co. all my life and these past couple seasons are a embarrsment. I'm not trying to stir up problems...just a couple of my opinions!
  9. Although L.C. is hurting badly right now with the 0-3 record, I still think they can play with any team on there schedule if they play to there potential. If everyone is healthy come friday night It will be close.:ylsuper: Lc-20 Pcc-13
  10. WOW!! Impressive win by the tomcats... I guess they made me eat my own words and proved me wrong. But "I can accept it when I'm wrong and will ever time that I am." Remember when B.C. beat Russell last season tho and then Russell still wins state. I'm not taking nothing away from ashland on the great win, but I think its a possiblity of it happening again. As I like to say ''ANY GIVEN TEAM CAN WIN ON ANY GIVEN FRIDAY" good luck to both teams the rest of the way!
  11. IMO Lc needs a coaching change very badly. He had had his chances and he has had his time to build on and still nothing is happening. I dont look for Coach Goldsmith to stick around to much longer! Good luck to the dawgs the rest of the season.
  12. Simply pathetic!!!! Come on, its football go out there and play. If ashland is worried about getting dirty, i would gladly wash there uniforms to watch Russell domolish them. I dont think it was cancelled because of the rain...I think its because there scardy CATS. I shall be attending this game since it was moved to saturday though, it will be quit delightful to see Clark run wild on them in person!!! NO hard feelings toward any tomcats..just simply stateing my opinion. "the worm"
  13. :thumb: Who is a Mr. Kentucky candiate again? :sssh: My memory is going bad.
  14. I think the Ashland fans and players have nightmares about this guy! Did you notice that no one from ashland has replyed to this?
  15. I'm originally from Lawrence co. but moved to Hazard. But btw I'm stateing my opinion about the game, no hard feelings in any way.:thumb: But L.C. seems to be down this year but I'm pretty confident with my DAWGS year in and year out. But back to the topic, just admit the Tomcats has NO chance at all this year against Russell. You won't Prove me wrong, Kasey Clark will have his way with the WEAK defense of ashland all night. Sticking to my original prediction of Ashland- 14 Russell- As many as desired :fire:
  16. 8 points or 80 points they still got the WIN! Another case of a upset fan that can't accept a loss. Like I said in previous post, accept the loss and move one, the hardest thing for ashland fans to do. let me state my score of this game again and say Russell can win this game by as many as they want. :sssh:
  17. Your not to fond of what has happened in the pound in the past decade are you? Breaking the 42 game winning streak of breathitt, game winning field goal last season to be boyd co., some of the great upsets has happened here. The past 2 years the bulldogs have fell 2 points short of belfrey and if that'd had a kicker then that could have won both games because they was in scoring position both games. Last season they even played without there 2 best players too. Hang in there dawgs because I'm still pulling for you guys. I think this friday will be like the old days, the whole town shutting down to come to the game and watch the dawgs play there heart out. :ylsuper:
  18. L.c. always gives Belfry a good game but I'm pulling for the dogs 14-8 in this one. The dawg pound is a hard place to get a win.:dancingpa
  19. You can bet that Chuke's team would never only score 6 points. With the speed that L.c. has Chuke would work wonders with these guys. Lawrence co. sure does miss Chuke alot and IMO they would be in far better shape at this point if they had him.
  20. If you have any football knowledge at all, then you have to take the defending state champs in this one. Even when ashland had there so-called best team in the last decade last season, they still didnt have enough for the devils. Clark and company will get it done at putnam. Russell-26 Ashland-18
  21. As bad as I hate to say, but good win for the tomcats, but they better get their tissues ready for next week because they are goin to get ROCKED.
  22. Yeah after this lose, I'd say trouble is sittin in on the bulldogs. Poor defense that couldnt stop the run or pass. L.c. needs to get something together soon or I see a winless season this year. If they can get a big W then I'd say that would be the spark to ignite the young bullgogs and then watch out because I think if they got a little confidence they'd be a tough team to beat. But I expect this to be a long season but it should be good learning experience for this young team. I want to wish the Bulldogs the best of luck the rest of the season.
  23. You can expect Coach Goldsmith to have his boys ready for this one. The D will come out strong and you can expect the Lawrence back field to come ready too. L.C.-28 Coal Grove-12 (late points)
  24. Belfry wins this one in a close one. 12-8
