stick1 Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 Lots of turnovers it sounded like. Good luck to the Pirates this year. Thanks for the updates CamFJ. The Dogs are going to have to keep working hard and hopefully start a new season once Districts roll around. They have a lot of young talent that will hopefully grow over the season.
PIRATES2005 Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 WAY TO GO PIRATES!!!!!!!!!!!!! :ylsuper: :dancingpa :dancingpa
xyience Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 I figured this game would a little more high scoring, but with the wet conditions that is expected. Good win for belfry.
Brewsky Posted September 2, 2006 Author Posted September 2, 2006 Belfry had over 350 yards rushing, but did not hold onto the ball well. Had Belfry limited turnovers, it would have been worse.
Pirates08 Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 Way To Go Pirates! Work on your weaknesses and we will have an awesome season! :dancingpa
footballfan74 Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 Congrats Pirates!!!:dancingpa Great job by Charlie Dotson, G, and Andrew Elkins.
JC Alumni 76 Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 Sort of the score i predicted. Turnovers are to be expected with the conditions that we seen all across Eastern Kentucky tonight due to all the rain. Congrats to Belfry and good luck to LC next week.
Belfry Wins Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 Belfry made a big change during the second quarter when trailing 6 to 0 and went with sophmore Andrew Elkins. He done an excellent job at qb even looked good throwing it. Belfry did play a sloppy game but it was expected with the rain. But we got to be pleased because Lawrence always plays us tuff and did early on but Belfry proved to be to much in the end. Good luck to LC rest of the season
g-man#18 Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 Way to go belfry! Great win looked a lot sharper on both sides of the ball. I saw more hustle and great game G Epling, D May, C Chapman and team. Good luck to L.C. lets go Pirates..
lcfan Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 Belfry had over 350 yards rushing, but did not hold onto the ball well. Had Belfry limited turnovers, it would have been worse. I don't agree.
lcfan Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 I thought that our freshman qb played pretty well. He needs to work on his accuracy, though. Does anyone know what happened to No.8 Butcher? I didn't see him in the second half.
Brewsky Posted September 2, 2006 Author Posted September 2, 2006 lcfan, That is your right to do. I wasn't at the game, only listened to it on the radio. Lawrence simply couldn't move the ball and was held to very few first downs. I don't have the stats, but Lawrence generally went 3 and out. Do you feel that if Belfry had only lost one or two turnovers, they would have not been able to capitalize on those additional possessions?
