Barnes switched his commitment and signed with Purdue today.

Great to see this. Big, strong kid with great attitude and work ethic.

Had a real good feeling this flip was coming.. He will do a good job there.

Derrick Barnes makes it official by signing earlier this morning before a crowded Holy Cross gym, with the University of Purdue. They are getting a fine young man and player.

Did he move to Covington from Louisville? The Indy star had his hometown listed as Louisville, Ky. I assumed it was just a mistake, does anyone know?

I thought he was from Cincinnati. I'm not sure if he lives in Northern Kentucky or Cincinnati now

He is from Covington. Grew up in Covington. His family went to Holmes. He went to Holmes his Freshman year and had to sit out his Sophomore year because he transferred.
