I heard this by rumor that Beach has made an effort to apologize to his teammates and to support them in everyway Friday. I also heard that his ankle had been twisted that night which prompted him to do that. Of course only rumor. If this is found to be the case, "Could he now play?" I am taking Raceland to win. Passed by the weight room today and they were hard at work.

No, Beach will not be allowed to play. Once a player is ejected from a ballgame he has to miss the teams next game. Did he apologize to the team or just make an effort?

As for the ankle being twisted, he needs to have enough discipline to not retaliate when something like this happens. He can not help his team if he is not on the field. I give him credit for the apology though, it takes a real man to admit his mistakes. Glad to hear they were hard at work today. It's hard to come down after a big win and a fire truck escort:D

What position does Daniel Pettrey play ? Is he #15 and a wide reciever ? Nice kid ... His bother is going to beat Michigan this year ....

Daniel is being used as a WR. I believe his # is 82 but I am not positive. I hope you are right about Aaron. I spoke wioth his dad yesterday who stated Aaron was neck & neck with the other kicker to obtain the starting PK job but Aaron thought he has won the kickoff job. I wish him well, great kid from an even greater family.

# 15 is David Hammond a WR.

i think he did apologize. I agree you have to be disciplined. I wasnt sure. I know the rules but sometimes they come up with circumstances. JV played tonight. They lost and had some mistakes however alot of boys got some playing time. Tyler Boyles did a good job in the quarterback position. They were running the ball well.

Coaching staff still hard at work. Most of the coaching staff was at the JV game which impressed me. Sometimes you only get a couple of coaches. Its great to see these coaches supporting the kids of all ages.

Thanks oldram for the info on the JV. Do you have a score? Great to hear about Tyler, he has the makings to be a good one.

I understand the Beach situation to be as it was stated here and yes he needs to be more disciplined. But in the East Carter-Greenup Co. game an East player took the GC QB out of bounds and tossed him over a fence like a WWF match. A bit of a rumble insued and noone was tossed. With a former Tomcat the lead official at the Ashland game Friday it is only fitting to question the possible quick trigger on the ejection. If you wish to see the video of the East-GC incident follow the link here and click on the play button and watch. It's excellent video. You tell me which deserves ejection more, a kick when someone is twisting your leg or tossing a guy over the fence.

I do not doubt that may have happened but imo it doesn't change anything. Beach needs show restraint and not retaliate. This is not a post saying that an Ashland player may had thrown a "cheap shot" so to speak at all. Frankly I have never seen a completely clean football game played anywhere and I really don't think that there has ever been one. I am sure that he will learn from this and go on for a very sucsessfull season.

Good point TBF.I also talked to a parent at the GC game and he said the officials handled the situation very well. Perhaps the Ashland/Raceland game officials over reacted but in any situation that involves a possible suspension, the player involved has to be disciplined enough let this kind of stuff slide. He can't help his team on the bench. In most every case the guy that retaliates is the one caught. I agree there should have been a warning first.

Thanks for the link, pretty wicked.
