What are some small and meaningless ways in which you rebel?

Featured Replies

The first that comes to mind is when I go to Starbucks (which is rare), I place my order as a Small, Medium, or Large. Then I chuckle when the employee reads my order back to me using the proper Starbucks lingo of Short, Tall, Grande, Venti (or whatever they're called).

How about you? What are some small and meaningless ways in which you rebel? Key words being "small and meaningless."

My Reds hat is green.

Memphis State University

Miami Redskins

Marquette Warriors

Without fail, when I get my blood drawn the obligatory question is asked, "How long has it been since you ate?"

I give the same answer each time. "12 hours ago."

Like clockwork the person drawing will ask, "What time was that?"

It is an act of rebellion and but also a reminder of the lack of faith I have in humanity.

In the same "Newport Catholic"

I also never refer to Covington Catholic as "CovCath."

It's rare I go anymore but always this!

Same.

It was always Riverfront Stadium to me. I refused to call it by the other name.

Even when I know a restaurant has Pepsi products I always order Diet Coke. Sometimes the waiter will ask if Diet Pepsi is alright, and I'll always answer with " What If I say no". LOL

You call it "rebelling", I call it "passive-aggressive tendencies".

I refuse to call carbonated soft drinks "pop". I grew up calling the stuff soda, and it will always be soda.

I ignore the tip jar at Starbucks. They already stole my money with their overpriced drinks.

I wait to poop in the morning until I get to work so that I poop on the clock and not on my time.

I probably have a million of these. The few times I order at Starbucks I do the same thing as Randy.

One that comes to mind is when ordering at the drive thru I try my best to get my order in without the cashier interrupting me. It is nearly impossible to do anymore but if you are quick and thorough you can do it.

Burns my hide when I say "I'll have a number two " and before I can finish the robot on the other end starts asking me questions about sides and drinks or if I want it grilled or fried. Let me finish please.

Another one is I never stop to let the wal mart greeter check my receipt unless they make a point to stop me and ask. I avoid eye contact and continue on my way.

One exception is if I have an item they couldn't put in a bag. I figure they have a reason to check in those instances.
