Thanks to MaMaw for the updates.

Augusta came back to again pull it out for another down to the wire win. Hope someone has the stats. Sorry for my broken coverage at times. Tried to give last minutes of play. Boy, do I appreciate you guys who do this all the time.

I already had my thoughts spelled out in preparation for Scott's winning this one by double-figures, when Augusta rises like a phoenix from the ashes (again), to edge the Eagles 72-71, overcoming a 12 point deficit going into the fourth quarter, exemplifying "refuse to lose."

Congratulations to the Panthers!!!! Truly an amazing run. Two to go!

Like.

Sophomore Jack Laycock comes in with 35 secs to go and Panthers down 71-70. Gets fouled with 15 to go and misses both. On 2nd miss, Cameron Snapp tips out and recovers on rt. wing. Laycock open underneath and hits winner with 5 to go. TO Scott. Scott fires up 3 from left wing with 2 to go. Ohmer grabs rebound and flips up probably his only miss of the night as time expires. Caravan from River to Rupp continues.

Have you coined this phrase yet coach? If not, I want a slice of the royalties ... could we be looking at an Augusta-Mason County rematch in the title game come Tuesday?

Congrats to the Panthers!

Pap's predictions aren't always on point, but this from the preview thread:

Scott - Augusta. The most intriguing matchup in the opening round. Augusta handled the Eagles in the middle of the season, and seem to be a team of destiny. Jake Ohmer goes off for 35+, but I'll take the Panthers in a nail-biter; 70-69.

These boys don't quit! Jack Laycock with a Royal Redemption. I want an Augusta Mason County final

So an Augusta mason final gets moved to the field house...

Right??

I know it's an if.

But man. Imagine the crowd at the field house if they both win, and if it wasn't Montgomery's turn...

Very well could be, From The River To Rupp, sounds like a working title.

Anyone know who the fan was who got thrown out of the game between Augusta and Scott after the intentional foul was called on Maddox?
