February 21, 201610 yr Bilas did not say that. He said if they do not make the call - they are fired. He said if Humpheries catches the ball after the slam they could have have overlooked it. Wrong
February 21, 201610 yr You know why guys don't spike the ball in excitement all the time? Because they know it's a technical...
February 21, 201610 yr It appears the better coached team found a way not to lose this one. You would think the whole Cal can't coach thing would have went away After the 2011 team or 2014 team. By the adjustments he makes during the year, how he got them playing their best by the end of the year. This year with no inside game really at all, he once again has his team playing close to its best by the end of the year. The whole he can't coach thing is just wrong. Is there better x and o guys than him yes, is he as bad as some of you all make it seem not at all. In fact right until that technical foul his team made the plays at the end to win it.
February 21, 201610 yr The look on his face as soon as he spiked it tells the story. He knew instantly what he did was a T... He was just overcome with excitement. I still let that one go if I'm the referee. But I'm not Pat Adams and I don't like Nickelback.
February 21, 201610 yr Lee makes a FT they win They should have won by 20 if they had a coach who could coach.
February 21, 201610 yr He was just overcome with excitement. I still let that one go if I'm the referee. But I'm not Pat Adams and I don't like Nickelback. He was overcome with knowing he just cost his team the game the instant the ball left his hand. He knew it was a no-no...
February 21, 201610 yr Come on everyone. You should know by now that uk#1fan and newarkcatholicfan hate on Cal any time they can, even when it makes no sense. Cal actually coached one of the best games I have seen him coach at UK down the stretch in this one. He made a number of excellent calls and coaching moves.
February 21, 201610 yr He was overcome with knowing he just cost his team the game the instant the ball left his hand. He knew it was a no-no... If you read his lips, he said "Oh :poop:" as soon as he did it.
February 21, 201610 yr Not sure. That's why I posed the question. If that's the case, I get it. If not, how is Willis not the guy there? I don't think you can enter, then exit a game without the clock running can you? Question....With the Humphries play, could Cal have put Willis in for him to shoot the free throws, and then taken him out after the second one? No idea, but the only problem with that is if he misses the second one. Then UK would basically be stuck on defense with only four players if he missed.
February 21, 201610 yr The look on his face as soon as he spiked it tells the story. He knew instantly what he did was a T... Is is that something that would be called a T in international rules?
February 21, 201610 yr Is is that something that would be called a T in international rules? Don't cover games played with international rules, so don't know. I know in the American version of the game, if you spike the ball you expect a T...
February 21, 201610 yr Bilas 100% said the official would probably be fired if he didn't make the call. It was mostly in jest, but it was said... Nope, completely wrong... he said "wouldn't have been fired".. Will send you the link in a PM so you know you're off the mark here. It was not said.
