Texas A&M 79 Kentucky 77 OT

Bilas did not say that.

He said if they do not make the call - they are fired.

He said if Humpheries catches the ball after the slam they could have have overlooked it.

Nah sorry, you misheard Jay. He never said anything about an official being fired for making the call one way or the other. Was it the right call? Probably by definition of the rule - but you can't put any blame on Issac. He was their best front court player all game. Easiest UK loss this season to get over by far.

This team continues to get better. If the Cats can get everyone healthy by tournament time as Cal likes to say, " I like my team"

I'd say probably 95% of them make the call. Hate it happened like that, but he had no choice and Humphries put him in a horrible spot. He was asking for the ball and the guy spiked it instead. T any way you slice it...

Hope Cincy doesn't lose a game like this in the near future.

Guts is not enough. Gotta play smarter.

True. You need them both but you can teach smarts. Harder to teach guts.

Not even mad. Feel like we've learned a lot about this team with Alex out. I say hold him out until he's 110% and then ride that waive. Really hoping Willis is ok. He needs rest.

Bilas 100% said the official would probably be fired if he didn't make the call. It was mostly in jest, but it was said...

A&M is not the better coached team. They all but gave Kentucky the win. That was a terrible call in my opinion. He wasn't showing anyone up or acting out of anger. He was just excited that he made the biggest play of his career so far.

It appears the better coached team found a way not to lose this one.

Ha Ha...........A%M coach is very good..............but lets not get carried away.....His goal is to beat a Kentucky and get out of there............Cal is tring to play 40 games and win the last one........

You are wrong. Bilas said it's not like they would be fired if they don't call that.

They had a game impacted by a similar call a few weeks ago when Ellis tried to bounce a ball back to himself and hit an officials foot instead. T was correctly called...

Humphries had 12 boards.

That's what I thought I heard.

Bottom line is that if U.K. hits the "D" boards any at all - they win. A lot of the Aggies points were off put backs, even third shots on a possession.

About "the T" on Humphries .... yes, it was technically a automatic T but anyone and I mean any other official except for an SEC official (and a home game at Duke), the ref swallows that whistle. That was not in anger, over a call or anything close to that. Humphries was celebrating a big defensive stop to win the game and everyone in the building knew it, including the zebra that made the call.

At any rate, an ot loss to a very good, well coached A&M team at their place is not the end of the world. I believe that if these two meet in the SEC Tourney, U.K. wins.

Although this would had put a two game lead up in conference, the Cats are still in 1st place.

Bama is up next and hopefully this emotional ot loss won't beat U.K. twice. They need to leave this one, go out and get a W over a Bama team that has been playing well.

The look on his face as soon as he spiked it tells the story. He knew instantly what he did was a T...
