Humphries just got himself a ton of minutes going forward. Cal finally found someone who would rebound.

Question....With the Humphries play, could Cal have put Willis in for him to shoot the free throws, and then taken him out after the second one?

I don't think you can enter, then exit a game without the clock running can you?

No you can't.

Not sure. That's why I posed the question. If that's the case, I get it. If not, how is Willis not the guy there?

Ah, I know that feeling about technical fouls :lol2:

For the record I thought it was an absolute atrocious call and completely changed the outcome...

As I said at the start of the thread if you watch Pat Adams face when he turned to count the basket to end the game the look on his face showed he knew he had a role in the outcome of the game, and good officials don't like to be in that type of situation.

Cal still hasn't taught them how to win?

Great post Griz!

I think Cal could have chosen anyone not on the floor. The issue would have been Willis' ankle. Could he have shot free throws with the injury? Plus, what if he missed the second and had to get back on defense? He couldn't have been a viable option, IMO.

For the record I thought it was an absolute atrocious call and completely changed the outcome...

AMEN!!!

The refs called Briscoe for a tech a couple of games ago when he slammed the ball and caught it waist hgh after Murray's dunk. Very bizarre way to lose tonight. Down the stretch, UK had at times 4 freshmen and Ulis on the floor. The Aggies were a lot older. All in all, I thoguht the Cats showed guts.

Guts is not enough. Gotta play smarter.

It appears the better coached team found a way not to lose this one.

Disagree...the team that had bodies at the end won. UK lost 3 guys during the game and one of those was due to injury.
