Ballgame, and the offense continues to be non existent. :irked:

What?, Hark!, It is.........Roseanne Barr warming up the pipes!

As Dandy Don would say, "Turn out the lights, the party's over!"

Ross had 63 AB's in August (his most of the season) and he hit .222. So far in September he's hitting .231. This guy is NOT an every day option behind the plate...

Dave Williams as a Met: 3-0 3.24, 25 innings, 27 hits, 9 er, 2 walks, 15 k's

Ouch...

It seems to me that Krivsky has gotten jobbed on his pitching trades with the exception of Arroyo, who is a #3 on any other staff but forced to be a #1 with the Reds. Lohse has been decent, but long term, it may not work out. Guardado and Majewsi were damaged goods when Krivsky traded for them although he may not have known that. How did they pass the team physicals after the trade?

I have to agree with this now, the last strand on the thin rope has broken. Still it was good to see the Reds going into September with a shot. Not where we want to be by any strech but a vast improvement.

Imo Krivsky has done a great job in moving this team foward, remember that he didn't come in untill Feb. and at that time all the free agent market was pretty much gone. I look for much better things next year.

There was nothing wrong with Majewski that a physical would show. His arm was fatigued, not damaged. The Guardado injury happened here in the 7th or 8th game he pitched. Lohse has been very solid, and can easily be a long term answer. No clue where you got that one. Franklin and Cormier have been decent, but have had some rough spots here and there. Schowenweis has been very good. Bray has a bright future. When you have to try and remake an entire staff midstream, you are going to hit and miss. I'm sure they'd love to have the performances of Luke Hudson and Dave Williams over the past two weeks, but in reality, it's unlikely there would have been any more wins with the funk that the offense is in...

Didn't watch or listen to the game.

Took one glance at the lineup and laughed.

This is a lineup made for a day game after a night game in May, June, July and early August.

It is the heart of a pennant race and they roll this lineup out there?

Hollandsworth had three knocks last night, and the 4th to the track and hits the bench?

I agree... Narron and Boom Boom Hume need to "hit the bricks".....Hume was a horrible pitcher on horrible teams in the 80's.....somebody had to save the 60 wins they managed back then...... I just don't think Narron has been good down the stretch and that is when it counts...he was there on the bandwagon in April/May when the winning was taking place.....We need Lou Pinella or maybe get Jack Mckeon back in the saddle....

Don't forget Vern Ruhle was the pitching coach and Hume took over for Vern after he was diagnosed with cancer and went through the chemo treatment.

Have never seen exactly what/where the cancer that Ruhle had. It has been seemingly kept under wraps. Anyone know?
