November 16, 201510 yr I'm not opposed to helping out those who can't help themselves, however, we have many in this country who need help also. We should take care of our own first.

November 16, 201510 yr I'm not opposed to helping out those who can't help themselves, however, we have many in this country who need help also. We should take care of our own first. I think we do take care of our own. Wait, but then again, nobody likes when the government takes care of Americans who can't take care of themselves so what do we do now?
November 16, 201510 yr France estimates up to 9000 ISIS sympathizers inside their boarders. Future attacks are highly likely. Until we close our borders to everyone then it isn't going to matter if we accept refugees or not. They'll still get in. Will we every close our borders? I think we all know the answer to that one.

November 16, 201510 yr I think we do take care of our own. Wait, but then again, nobody likes when the government takes care of Americans who can't take care of themselves so what do we do now? I'm with ya. There is no right answer IMO. It's just a horrible situation. I've always hated government handouts. As I said in thread a few days ago, I feel like we should reward those willing to help themselves. Before anyone says the refugees are trying to help themselves, I agree, and I still believe we should help those here in need before we open our borders to additional groups of people who need assistance as well.
November 16, 201510 yr I think we do take care of our own. Wait, but then again, nobody likes when the government takes care of Americans who can't take care of themselves so what do we do now? Also, there is a huge difference to me between those that can't take care of themselves vs. those that don't want to take care of themselves.
November 16, 201510 yr I find this part extremely frustrating: Once they arrive, they'll be provided with temporary federal and state aid, including help with housing, food stamps, Medicaid and cash assistance, said Becky Jordan, Kentucky state refugee coordinator. They're provided employment aid and English training. So as if our national debt isn't large enough, now we have more people that will be living off the system. Sounds like a brilliant plan! Why don't we first take care of our own people and get them the "employment aid" that we are giving these people. Where are these people going to find jobs? Think Obama will welcome any of these people in to his home?
November 16, 201510 yr People are all up in arms about allowing refugees in. But what are you planing to do with natural born US citizen who either join ISIS or who turn and sympathize with ISIS? That is where our focus needs to be. As there is a much great chance that the next attack on US soil will be a natural born US citizen.
November 16, 201510 yr Been offline today and catching up. Lets remember that using 'refugees' as a conduit to infiltrate western countries is not just some hypothetical made up by posters here. It is public and known strategy and has been for some time. Most of these are from February this year. The issue of terrorist embedded with refugees is well known - just ignored mostly.
November 16, 201510 yr Doesn't mean we gotta invite them in and support them while they are here. I hear you and understand your point. I'm just saying my opinion on the borders.
November 16, 201510 yr Sportsguy, France has more ISIS fighters than any other country, they are struggling with this also. I'm struggling with it to, isn't the common sense answer, stay there you are never coming back here? People come on, you can't be that dumb.
November 16, 201510 yr The train I'm riding is the whole, "this wouldn't happen if they didn't have such strict gun laws" train. Didn't one person say that a certain percentage of Americans are carrying at all times? Now it's the whole, "I'm not as trained as they are and my kids don't know how to shoot yet..." Can't have it both ways when it comes to the gun argument in this one. I didn't know there was a gun argument in this one. I'd argue this, had the exact same scenario played out in this country there would have been fewer casualties IMO because someone with a sidearm would have ended some of them. Maybe pure speculation on my part but that's how I feel about it. Any other gibberish about gun ownership and scenes like this are mere wanker measuring contests.
November 16, 201510 yr The war in Syria could come to an end if the administration withdraws support of 'rebels' attempting to overthrow Assad. Assad, with the help from the Russians - who have no tolerance for Islamic radicals after thei attacts there (remember the school) - will clean up ISIS somewhat quicly. Of course they will also take care of the US administration supported rebels. But the civil war will end in Syria.
November 16, 201510 yr Congratulations!!!!! You have been excepted into the AWCSC. Whatever that is, what are the dues
