Since the advent of the debit card, I almost NEVER have cash on me. That has bot positive and negative attributes to it I think. I think it's probably always a good idea to have a few $1's on you and a couple of $5's just for those little situations where you might need a couple of bucks (tip for something, kids candy bar sales/raffle ticket at work, etc.). But having a debit card sure make life easier when it come to buying stuff and not having to carry cash around al the time.

 

So, anyone like me and almost never has cash on them? Who always makes sure they have at least a few bucks with them all the time?

I'm the opposite. I carry only cash and a credit card that has dust on it.

Wife and I have recently started giving ourselves a "weekly allowance" where we withdrawal a set amount each week, she takes half, I take half, and that's the money we have to spend for that week. We use our cards for gas, groceries, and bill pay. So far it's been saving us a ton. Before we started doing this, I never carried cash. Never.

Cash is my preferred method of paying for things; except gas. I am too lazy to walk to the window and pay before pumping.

Hardly ever have cash on me. This bothers some people. Sorry not sorry.

Never had cash til I started working for the Reds. Now I carry cash quite often until that tip money runs out before next season haha!

I only carry whatever cash Mrs. BB gives me...I learned a long time ago to give up that control. She says you must have at least $1 in your pocket so you're not a vagrant, whatever that is...

I just carry a small amount of cash, usually less then $20. I've become very accustomed to using my debit card for almost everything. My wallet is usually bulging with receipts that I need to deduct from my bank account.

I always have a little cash on me. No more than $100. I pay with card for everything.
