Figured it would be close and thought that Ryle would win. Congratulations to the Jaguars.

Morgan has to be one of the best in Nky .. Stable of backs who can stay healthy !!!! As I said between coach - Marcus Watson and the will to win but also knowing how to win i.e. KO return or what ever play you want to pin point was and is the difference maker ... Props to the jags

Not yet. They have to beat Conner. But if Ryle beats Conner the. The worst they can do is tie for first and tie breaker with KHSAA rules would go to Cooper and they would get 1 seed. But they had to win tonight to have a shot.

 

Tie breaker only works if the total amount of wins from each team they beat add up to the same and if so Cooper gets the 1.

He got a hand on. That's why it kind of died. He had 2 in a playoff game last year also and I believe earlier in the year too. He is a force. He has the motor for DI but the measirables just aren't there for that level. I do believe Morehead told him he has a spot if he wants it but it would be a PWO. Wherever he goes

And whatever level he goes, that team will be getting something special.

Those 2 turn overs and the kick return for a touchdown beat Ryle tonight. Ryle is still the real deal. Back yard brawls make both teams stronger.

Both of the Ryle turnovers came at the end of big plays for the Raiders, one after a long pass play and the other was at the end of a big return.

First to say congrats.... I guess you are classy. Why do try to hide that sometimes? JK Ryle will be fine. They have a butt-load of talent and know how to use it. 6A NKY post season will be awesome.

 

Because I like talking crap and getting fired up too. Doesn't mean I don't respect or have sportsmanship. I call it honestly after the fact and give the credit when its due. You have to get it, im not giving it away...lol

I don't know where you've played or coached, but it has always been a respect thing for the most. I could care less if it is a team motto to not kneel, but to kneel for one injured player and not another because he from the opposing team is disrespectful in my opinion. I will continue to teach my kids class, respect the game and respect the opponent.

 

 

Not all the Cooper players took a knee for either team, the ones on the field didn't, the ones tossing ball behind the bench didn't, and the three or four on the sideline at the end near the scoreboard did not.

 

Not taking a knee when a player is down, no matter what team, is not disrespectful nor does it lack class.

I don't know where you played or coached either, but this taking a knee thing wasn't around here 5-7 years ago. So, I guess all these years of playing football, all over the country has been nothing but a constant display of disrespect towards one another.

 

If a coach can't teach their team to stand there, be somewhat still, be respectful, and be quiet while a player is down then quit coaching. Body position has zero to do with class, respect, or concern for another player.

 

Is a team more concerned when one of their team mates is down...uh, yes! That is part of the whole team and family unit, the closer something hits home the more concerned you are. That is no different in how we all lead our life's everyday.

 

 

Just because one group or team chooses to one thing, doesn't mean that all other teams should do the same.

 

What about the players who took a knee and did the sign of the cross, where they being more respectful or less?

 

I told everyone that one teamwould find a way to be disrespected in this game!

Had a late night snack of Crow and leftovers for breakfast. Congrats to Cooper on an awesomely played, coached, executed game and game plan. N. Brown was on point. Hendrix was a stud. B. Brown's kick return broke Ryle's soul. Hendrix took a shot in the ribs, got back up and kept playing. Big Boy Football !!! Ryle tries to rebound next week.

Great high school atmosphere. Hard to believe that there are 2 Union high schools now. Both teams had great support in the stands.

For Cooper. Their QB looked just as good (or better) than Ryles QB. More mobile, smart with the ball, good size and quickness(not as much zip on his passes as Ryles QB). His sideline pass to Hendrix in the 3rd quarter was nice and a fantastic diving catch by Hendrix (looked like Brandon Tate catch for the Bengals last week). Hendrix was a big difference maker in this game. Kid can play. Also thought Marcus Watson and Justin Schlarman played a great game. Congrats to Cooper on the W.
