Do people seriously get upset about the other team taking a knee while a player is down? I don't recall ever seeing a team do that, but hey if that's what you want..........

 

 

Cooper always does but I don't lose sleep over the other teams not. Just what Cooper does is all. I will add however FanOfMany makes a good point. If you donut for your own team, why not do the same for the other team?

But why take it for your injured player and not the opponent. Takes the "CL" out of class.

Only half the Cooper team did it no matter what player was down....maybe not half but the players on the field didn't....or the ones tossing the football behind the bench...

Cooper's 4th touchdown was one of the best plays that I've seen this year. The Qb threw it to a spot, Hendrix ran a post then peeled back to catch it in stride.

 

In basketball terms, it would of been equivalent to a cross over that broke the defenders ankles.

I don't see the need for it. Go talk to your coach or teammates and give the injured player plenty of room.

 

Clyde, you must come to a soccer match soon, it actually isn't a soccer thing. In soccer it is typical for the players to huddle with teammates/coach as you suggest.

 

This is what the players on the field did during the injuries tonight, I'm good with this. My comment is regarding the other kids that are on the sidelines, these are the players that were taking the knee during injuries... Ryle only did so when their players were down.

Watching my kids grow up and play, from my memory it all started with soccer. In particular with the younger ones, I think it was so the coach could give his full attention to the player down and not have all the little ones running around. Then as players have gotten older it just spread up and out....just a hunch
