Tonight I saw two teams leave it on the field. The game lived up to the hype. What I am most impressed about was the level of sportsmanship displayed on the field. After many of the hits, each team helped the other up. There was no extracurricular activity going on. Two well coached teams playing the game the way it is supposed to be played. Both schools should be proud of their teams. At a time when we have seen players take out referee's and cheap shot one another,, these two teams did it the right way tonight. I commend both coaches on a well played game. Good luck the rest of the season for both teams,, one can only hope they can see each other again in the playoffs.

If you are playing Cooper your coaching staff better bring their A-game. Great halftime adjustments by Borchers and his staff. Cooper could not run the ball and had trouble protecting the QB in the first half. Second half they looked like a different team. Ran the ball well and did a good job in pass protection. Coopers coaching staff is the best in NKY!

 

Nathan Brown doesn't get the credit he deserves. Kid is a very good QB.

Not sure what running game you are referring to in the second half besides the quarter back getting outside and running on broken pass plays. Ryle shut down the run the entire game but could not stop the pass in the second half.

Jaden Jackson did run fairly well. Byron Brown was amazing on his punt return and Tony Adams with the fumble recovery on the next KR

Do people seriously get upset about the other team taking a knee while a player is down? I don't recall ever seeing a team do that, but hey if that's what you want..........

 

I don't know where you've played or coached, but it has always been a respect thing for the most. I could care less if it is a team motto to not kneel, but to kneel for one injured player and not another because he from the opposing team is disrespectful in my opinion. I will continue to teach my kids class, respect the game and respect the opponent.

His kick return for a touchdown was huge. Ryle had just scored to tie it up in the 4th and then he returned it for a touchdown to get the momentum right back for Cooper. In big games you need plays like that, and your right that was a huge play.

All I can say is THANK YOU Jaguar boys for shutting up the doubters. Especially the ones that counted you out with their over hyped egos, and lack of respect for your talent. I enjoyed watching my former players compete and make plays agains one another and this game had it's share of 'wow' plays. It goes to show you can talk all you want, and regardless of record, you still have to strap it up and get it done.

Coach Borchers buy far the better of the two as all he does is just WIN ..... Tanner Morgan is the real deal but got to see tonight what happens when your not playing teams with a combined record of 3-22 coming into the week . If Marcus Watson don't get some real looks people just are not watching . Imo Engler really needs to think outside the box of his very predictable play calling . Ryle had the better athletes but better coaching and the will to win was the reason Cooper got the win.

I agree, but I don't know about Ryle having better athletes. Quaterback, Running Back, Receivers, OLine, DLine????Where were the better athletes? Oh yea...Kicker and Punter..??
