I am not taking any WR over Beechwood's Brett Slusher, but if I had to Dante Hendrix is the man. He is special at WR. As doubledeuce mentioned above, in the second half Cooper ran a one WR passing play several times in the second half with Hendrix the only receiver. They kept everyone else in to protect and give the QB time to throw, put Hendrix in motion and had him run a double move route. He was wide open every time because of his speed and he is so good in running his route. The only time it was incomplete was when the QB overthrew him. I don't ever remember seeing a team running a one receiver pass play like that, let alone the other team not being able to stop it.

 

Hendrix had two other great catches. One in the first half, a sideline catch in tight double coverage, strong hands grabs the ball and comes down with it. The other was a lay out diving catch in the second half. Hendrix put on a show last night.

 

I also was impressed with Jackson at running back for Cooper, as well as Brown at QB.

If I calculated things right the Ryle and Conner game basically means nothing unless Ryle loses then they automatically are the three seed. If they beat Conner they could be at best the two or even three seed still. It all comes down to the Cooper Conner game for the final standings. If Cooper wins they are the one seed. However even if Conner loses to Ryle they would still be the one seed if they beat Cooper. Conner in a tiebreaker scenario with three teams would get the one seed because of wins over Lloyd and Scott who have alot of wins and if the beat Cooper that would be another team with alot of wins they beat. So in a tiebreaker scenario Conner will win the one seed. Which is why the Cooper Conner game will be for the one seed no matter how the Conner Ryle game goes. Ryle would need to beat both Conner and Simon Kenton to maybe pass Cooper for the 2 seed in a three way tie situation.

Conner is certainly surprising me with their success. I have a hard time seeing them getting within 2 scores of Cooper or Ryle, but I have underrated them all season so I don't be surprised if I am wrong on that also.

This would be a big statement win for Cooper, and an even bigger win for Ryle.

If Cooper had played defense on that last scoring drive of Ryle the way they had the whole game,, I believe Ryle does not score. Their stats look better because of Cooper backing off and playing more of a "prevent" coverage.

Congratulations Jags and good luck the remainder of your season. Great year for Union KY! The Raiders will look to rebound against Connor next week, and work to eliminate the turnovers against SK. Morgan is the real deal and will only continue to improve, and the running game will get back on track (England, Bateman, Chisolm) The Freshman kicker Molique has been a pleasant surprise and has turned out to be one of the best in NKY with his consistency! Good things are still come.

Any word on the Cooper running back TCA? Hopefully just an ankle sprain, nothing too serious.

They handled Cooper who did the same thing to Ryle. Seems like a pretty good gap.

Pretty sure everyone, players included a fan of TCA and no disrespect intended.My only disappointment was Hendrix taunting in front of Ryle bench. He made some great catches against a dismal secondary. Go with it and get back in the huddle.
