He has been the difference in many games all year when he gets the minutes but coach has blinders on and refuses to reward the kids that work the backside off for the program,,,which is why the program is and will remain a sub par 6A program...for reference his name is Austin Mcdainel and works as hard as any kid you will find in the state.

COACHING--coaching----coaching you have to know your kids and play to their strengths and not the Xs and Os daddy taught him. because we see how well it worked at NKU...

I would say no to the upset question. Just Ryle's coach in over his head once again - out coached plain and simple!!! Up 4 less than a minute and stayed in a full court pressure D that was giving up lay ups the whole evening. And as everyone knows you WILL NOT get a call playing at Grant County as at one point in second half foul count was Ryle 9 GC 1...........enough said when they play that game in Union Ryle wins by 20.

By far one of the best coaches if not the best in the region !!!!! Sully at cooper is right there...they both get everything out of a kid has to offer ..Harmon at Newport will give teams fits , and a guard that shoots lights out.

You are correct .. will be a lot of fun to watch but not enough studs in the barn ... macgregor will help for sure but after the top 4 big drop off and with the aggressive style of basketball I think we will find them in foul trouble quite often !!!! A good discipline team with a guard that can handle and a big will give them fits as the lack of size will limit second chance opportunities and as we all know that is a big part of the game . Good luck to the Lady Raiders as they will be fun to watch

I think this 8th grader will struggle if thrown into the varsity arena!!!!! Not even a top 20 in the state in that class- needs work on left hand and outside shot needs to improve... up side plays quick and hard which has kept her a step ahead of the Nky girls but if the skill set does not improve they will catch up As we always see that they do .. what will be good is the Northern Kentucky freshman class for those who are not already playing JV or varsity is pretty weak so she will get some good productive minutes ... end of the day Ryle is thin and go 5-6 deep max . But teams better have their running shoes on !!!

Hello --- matts mustangs 💩 On the three programs at state you just mentioned while having the best player in the state - hands down !

Think over the summer she picked up offers from purdue and ole miss as well will many more calling .. going to be a long 2 1/2 for her as the line keeps growing.

Lovell played a lot of minutes in exposure events with KY premiere and did well. Coach Pittman just didn't know what he had or how to get it out of her !! Hope the move to Ryle is a little more fitting for her -- great kid. Scheer is imo a top 5 player in the country in that 2020 class and has great chemistry with Jones who leaves it all out on the floor. Add Schwartz and Douthit to the mix and you have a great 1-3 rotation all can score and defend. Still missing a good 4-5 and if you cant rebound it makes for a long day !!!!!! No bench after that what so ever on a guard heavy team.

Well said 21 going into college , having played going into 7 years of HS basketball ...wow he keeps it up he maybe able to close in on the state scoring record...lol.....starting college when most are finishing.. enough said

FYI grant co don't have no where near the athletes that Ryle has and it is the coaches responsibility to put your team and players in the best position to excel to give your team the best chance to win !!! The whole night Ryle maybe ran 20% of the offense that they practice during the week -- is that the players or the coaches fault ?

Agree !!!!! Between the whole staff at Ryle not one has an creative offensive enough mind set to say ok 3 times in a row it didn't work lets try it again no way they would think we would try it again lol .....Ryle ran off the best offensive mind they have ever had and prob top 3 in the state in mike Davis --- oh yes he is at Scott co who is the only team they may be able to play with the big 2 !!!!

For sure !!!!!! Agree with another comment about England like a magic act now you see him now you don't .... One of the strongest kids on the field he would get 15+ touches a game at any other school . Ryle scores SK makes adjustment and Ryle finds them self struggling to get first downs as they go 1-4 when the game wasn't in garbage time and third down conversions were ugly . 4 fourth and less than 1 and the O line got smashed and pushed back into the backfield ... Ryle is praying for a Cooper lose lol if not they don't get out of round two in the playoffs.

Not putting heads on a platter but as you all know it's a lot of Xs and Os and as in the Cooper game the best team did not win but the team with the bigger heart and the coaching staff that made adjustments thru out found something that worked and stuck with it . You can not compare this years game to last as for Powell it was his first game back from injury , it was very wet so Ryle was able to just load the box and Wolfe at LB made at least 6 different touch down saving tackles that kept Powell from going to the house !!! And if not for a very close knee called down on a punt that put Ryle back inside the 10 SK most likely don't win that game ..... But at the end of the day players win games and coaches lose them

Very well said .. It's all most like he ( Engler) is trying to prove to past employer that the force out that they used to put him in the position to have to look for a job he is trying very hard to show them that they messed up . As everyone knows he had nothing to do with the development of the stud qbs that left that school and nothing to do with the development of Morgan . But in his defense he's never been a good play caller and doesn't have a lot of help behind him. And Ryle has let a lot of below avg teams stay close due to his ego of pass first , pass second , and then maybe run .. SK is too much as one team will remain undefeated!!!

It's hard to say but any one that gives him a shot will get a kid that gives 110% .... If a kid that works hard like Brownell does can walk on at UK who knows . I think if he can increase speed he can start sending out video.

Morgan has to be one of the best in Nky .. Stable of backs who can stay healthy !!!! As I said between coach - Marcus Watson and the will to win but also knowing how to win i.e. KO return or what ever play you want to pin point was and is the difference maker ... Props to the jags

Yes you do understand unlike some programs that turn it into a cash cow that will eventually stop producing milk .. Was it Atlanta 25-27 PSB exposure event and watched two KP programs just get destroyed !!!!! Circuit or not it can't be healthy for the girls side to go and spend that kind of money in hopes of bigger better things and just come up empty . JJ always gets so defensive because he knows at the end of the day you can not make a Prius and sell it as a Lexus . People will come and watch but once they catch on and see the writing on the wall they will always be looking for another place to go period. Over promise --- under deliver

Coach Borchers buy far the better of the two as all he does is just WIN ..... Tanner Morgan is the real deal but got to see tonight what happens when your not playing teams with a combined record of 3-22 coming into the week . If Marcus Watson don't get some real looks people just are not watching . Imo Engler really needs to think outside the box of his very predictable play calling . Ryle had the better athletes but better coaching and the will to win was the reason Cooper got the win.

Imo a team with the same players ... Same coach ... Same Philosophy But a change of uniforms will yield the same results !!!! If you could post a picture of the check Nike sends you for your 3 teams as being apart of that program now and maybe educate us all on how the switch is going to help you become a better coach so you can pass it on to your players . I have looked everywhere and was unable to find any kind of coaching clinics that they offer . But I was able to locate multiple basketball camps for the kids at a price of course which holds well for the program as it just picked up 100 more kids to add to the list of current campers . Maybe camps will be free ... Free gym time .... Free uniforms or maybe pay the coaches ... Travel reimbursement Because these are the things that come to mind when I hear Nike Sponsorship ??? Just asking
