  1. Sister is going to holy cross also ... The reason why is mom don't have no say so and hhs won't let them play up to the Jv or varsity level as middle schoolers ... Control issues !!!!!
  2. Agree ... Before the season ends he will give one or two away as he will try and push his pass oriented offense instead of handing it to the 3 headed monster in that group of backs with speed and power. With his back ground being QB coach he struggles with game management in tight situations . 2 nice wins vs very avg teams as either one will play .500 football this year and Ryles program can use the confidence and learn how to win again , much tougher road ahead and good luck raiders 🏈
  3. Why would you with Bateman and macgregor who have ALL the tools to be successful .. England at one point was the most dominant DE coming up thru the Boone co football system ... Great athlete but gives hits a lot better than he takes them , jmo
  4. Agree and after last week Ryle will throw a lot as Morgan and macgregor will be the bulk of the offense as macgregor is by far the best back on the Ryles roster ... Best defensive adjustment wins .... LC by 3
  5. Winning in an unorthodox manner and having a program that trains and teaches skills and fundamentals during the week allows these kids to go out and find themselves as a player on the weekends as they are running up the score and finishing respectively fifth and seventh in the country ... High school coaches just love these kind of players period as they have a motor that NEVER stops .
  6. Hey JJ if you're going to quote : maybe you should get it correct ... And The reason you are so defensive Is because premier takes a kid that's played one or two games with them and when she goes somewhere they try to take all the credit .... Sydney moss .... Premier had zero input on her being the player that she because she was the beast from elementary up as myself and others watch the girl grow up shooting in her side yard .
  7. Sounds like your aau team didn't get far away from northern ky because in super competitive aau with the athletic ability of the players these days you must be able to try to help defense and run transition ... Watch the EYBL peach jam championship today and it was 90% trap help transition... You want to play with the big dogs you have to beat them at their own game period ..
  8. Very nice reply magic fan because a lot of " coaches " as we call them make money from 1 on 1 training sessions and we can teach a kid to dribble 3 balls at one time and do what I feel is nice gimmick moves with the ball that NEVER get applied in a game situation . Coaches as you said are clueless because they at any age are not teaching the kids game management and situational basketball play ... I see the best skilled players in tight games and when told to foul or run clock are not fouling and putting up 3s at inopportune times thus preventing the team from finishing out the game .so all the things that you said are important and big factors in player/game management .
  9. After beating the defending national champ they had a let down game vs a Tennessee team .
  10. Spelling not that important as there were no uniforms there to represent which is a telling sign that kids are finding better programs on an up swing ... How ever it's spelled there are others dogs in the yard now !!!!
  11. Rod Snapp of Newport for sure applies all of the above and then some in finding the biggest challenges and playing the best teams in summer ball which in return builds team confidence and trust in one another !!!!! Team
  12. For the record aau state is a must for teams who plan on participating at aau nationals because eligibility states that you must play in your district tournament in order to qualify for nationals . So my guess is in these age groups they realize that nationals is not something they are ready for so why waste your time and money by participating in a state tournament . Cost is a factor when you can go play cheaper vs lesser compitition with the chance of winning !!!! Because I believe at this age confidence is a big factor in a lot of these girls returning and not losing them to other sports .... Jmo
  13. D1 is correct ..and on the 5th grade side 8 out of 10 are local 1 from Ohio and 1 from Frankfort ...6th grade have 5 local girls and the other 5 are within an hour or two ... And ironically KY Premiere did NOT represent in either but I must say I saw a few ladies that played with premiere in the past so the question is why would these kids drive 2-3 hrs to practice and play with a less select program ?? When premiere is let's say the top program :-(
  14. All though the statements are true I was at 5th grade D1 nationals this last week and a lot of teams aau - high school - college included and run a unorthodox style of defense as well as offense that includes pressure on both sides of the floor and last I checked as the kids get older these are the ones getting the D1 offers to major colleges . What good is being the best shooter if you never get the shot off ???? It's been proven you train hard - practice harder and you at any age can shine in anyone's " unOrthodox style " .. Ask DUKE
  15. just an fyi ky royals girls 5th grade just finished 7th at nationals and missed the final 4 by a one point loss to a very good texas team....key victories over four ranked teams. as for the 6th grade team finished 5th at nationals with a key win over oklamoma bombers who were a back to back winners and have never loss to a team in their age group. plus have key wins over #2 fla future #3 wv thunder #4 Dayton lady hoopstars just to name a few . also beat three top fifteen teams by 30 plus.
