I'm hearing that an incoming freshman at SK is coming our way. That's right 2020 Maggie Jones! How is this possible? She played with SK over the summer. Anyone have any insight on this?

Why do you ask how it is possible?

i think she lives in Independence and I believe her older sister goes to SK. She played for SK the past 2 years and played varsity minutes and also played with them over the Summer. Nothing against her just didn't know if she would be eligible to play at Ryle.

Varsity playing time does not count until freshman year. I believe Ryle is also getting 2020 Adrianna Lovell from Ludlow (she played quite a bit of varsity as an 8th grader and played summer ball with the Panthers). She's a very good point guard. It is my understanding that she will have a change of address.

As was already said the varsity minutes do not matter. Now sure how she can play if she doesn't move to Ryle's district.

You don't have to live in a county to attend school there. Many school districts accept students from other districts for a small fee.

Not true for Boone County schools.

Educational guardianship and many ways. I think you should send your kid wherever you want and the place that is best for them. Open enrollment is the best.

Your opinion is fine but the rule is the rule. You have to live in Ryle's district to go to Ryle.

Are we shocked that kids and their families are moving to Union to go to Ryle? Great facilities. Nice area to live. Good support.

What's not to like?
