I don't think that's completley true (yet) It was two schools. SK and hhs were in the running. But it was very dependent on several major factors and I don't "think" they played out favorably to allow her to transfer. I'm sure nothing is final, but as of last week I don't think those major things had been worked out. I know she practiced with SK and played with SK against HHS in the summer, but I know it was still up in the air. Btw, my understanding SK was granted permission to allow her to practice so there is no wrong doing on any part.

Lovell played a lot of minutes in exposure events with KY premiere and did well. Coach Pittman just didn't know what he had or how to get it out of her !! Hope the move to Ryle is a little more fitting for her -- great kid. Scheer is imo a top 5 player in the country in that 2020 class and has great chemistry with Jones who leaves it all out on the floor. Add Schwartz and Douthit to the mix and you have a great 1-3 rotation all can score and defend. Still missing a good 4-5 and if you cant rebound it makes for a long day !!!!!! No bench after that what so ever on a guard heavy team.

 

You're forgetting someone else as well. If Juliet McGregor decides to end up playing Bball again, she could potentially end up better than any of them. She has more athleticism than any of them mention and has mad ball handling skills. Needs more court time, but may be the best if she desides to play.

I hope to be helpful. I would hate for untrue information to work against Maggie in this case. At no point has there ever been a plan to have Maggie at Ryle.

 

My daughter, who attends Ryle, is best friends with Maggie. They would love to play together, and regularly talk about how fun it would be. We (Ryle bball parents) would of course love to have Maggie and have brought the idea up to her of course. Just as others have joked with us about our daughter attending SK. But for clarity, there has never been a plan to make a transfer happen. Maggie has consistently communicated her happiness with SK and the coaches there. The Jones have another daughter currently at SK and two others that have gone through SK. They love the community there and their situation. Our daughters have been best friends since 4th grade so of course we would all love to see them in school together, but none of us have ever seen it as realistic or had the desire to make a change happen. We bleed orange and black and they bleed blue and white! And we're still friends!!

 

Not sure where the info came to start this thread but it is for sure an incorrect representation of the truth. I'm sure no one would want to do damage to a young players reputation or create a difficult situation for a family or young person. So hopefully this will put this thread to rest.

 

The Jones and Scherr's are class acts. No wrong doing and no reputation should be in question here at all. All good people.

I did talks to her last fall and she said she missed it. It all depended on what kind of summer she had and how well she did I'm meets for track. But I would love to see her back on the court!

Not sure where the decision is now, but SK sure wasn't a done deal just a few weeks ago. And I'm not sure they were the leader at that time. But like I said, things can change fast once major decisions come into play so they very well could end up at SK.

This transfer stuff is getting out of hand, I get if people move from another state or lets just say from Bowling Green to Northern Ky but come on.

Forgot to report back! Heard she's staying at SK for now.

So much drama....I guess everyone will know in two weeks when classes start.

Interesting that they are all in the same class. I know Ryle has an awesome incoming freshman. Did they play AAU together? Attend camps together? What made Ryle the common denominator?

From what RCC9 was able to gather, it sounds like Maggie is staying at Simon Kenton. If anything turns out to the contrary, feel free to start a new thread about it.
