Highlands#1 is 100% correct in their post "highlands lost"! Get over it and move on. The "we" part is anyone who plays, coaches, follows a team, just because people disagree doesn't mean that they are not a fan of "part" of the "we". Hell, Henry of all people was accused in this thread of being a far weather fan of all people! If there is one thing Henry is not, it's a fair weather fan.

 

Not sure what calling out someone in a chat about trying to get someone to meet via a PM. Saying that someone isn't a fan unless they meet others on here to "prove" that they are a fan? smells like a BGP rules violation about exposing someone's identify.

 

And here we thought the events last year concerning CCH was a circus, that doesn't hold a candle to this.

 

I'll say this, because of a lot of stuff in this thread, and the postings by SOME of these adults, people on the outside are either shaking their heads, and or laughing at the display in this thread.

I don't consider myself a Highlands hater, but at the same time this thread is a train wreck that I can't look away from. The part though that really boggles me is that it seemed like SK's win was expected by everyone, even the Highlands fans, in the prediction thread. And yet we still have twelve pages of arguing in the post game thread.

It's Highlands, no one garners more attention winning or losing. Shoot, no one garners more attention when they don't even play a game!

You are not a part of the team or coaching staff so "we" is 100% the incorrect word to use. If you want to say HHS lost, you would be correct. You didn't lose anything.

He said he was going to meet and didn't show up. Is that calling him out. He was asked to PM someone that he said he knew to say hi! Guess what...that didn't happen either. Asking to PM me has NOTHING to do with "calling anyone out". If he wants ANY credibility at all, then he would let us know what he really knows and cares about the program that he pretends to be so close to. It's very easy to tell without finding out his identity. But nice try. He runs whenever anyone challenges him and uses generic statements like "they lost, move on" to divert attention and make it appear like HHS fans are whining when he is doing most of the whining!!!.

 

And why move on? No one seems to be talking about the game. They seem to be talking smack and the HHS folks seem to be looking for solutions for future games based on what they saw in this game. How in the world does that make it sound like we are whining or doing anything different than anyone else on the board. I know you guys aren't used to HHS fans trying to discuss how they can become successful going forward...because they haven't had to for awhile. Well guess what...we know what we are and this year's team has us looking for solutions...just like everyone else. And that's perfectly fine. Momma told us there'd be days like this! I know it's new territory for us, but the folks that have been around HHS football have seen these days before and did the same things we are doing now. Discussing HHS football.

 

Plain and simple. Highlands#1 is only on here to stir the pot. If he wasn't and was actually "concerned" about the program, then he would have much better information and answer the tough questions instead of diverting. He never does. He just throws fuel on the fire to get HHS fans in an uproar and make it appear to others that the HHS program is in disarray. That's not the case. We've all been here before and we've seen these days come and go. Maybe some of you outsiders haven't. Let's see what you have to say when our predictions of the future comes to fruition. Birds will be back soon enough!!

Are we arguing about the game and defending the loss? I think haters are taking jabs (which is perfectly fine and expected, we get it) and HHS folks are discussing solutions. That's why its this long. Isn't this a discussion board? Isn't this what we do? Why are we knocking everything this board is set up to do. It's fulfilling exactly what we all come here for!!!
