That would not explain anything because Meyers and Cornette have been playing JV more than Varsity. Now losing Murray is a huge loss. I had the pleasure of watching both boy's a couple weeks back and I and others have questioned why these boy's are even playing JV. Make all the excuses you want but when you have talented boy's and do not use them you find yourselves in 1-6.

Oh and my post was more of sarcasm based on an article written on the Ft Thomas Matters website by Michael Graham. It was an article that never should've been written if you want my opinion. Why waste the ink making excuses and breaking down minimal stats of players who didn't play. I know it's been a rough year trying to find something positive to write but the Birds fans I know wouldn't make excuses like that. It is what it is and it's time to move on.

I believe it has been thrown around in previous threads that all the NKY teams picked up their phones to call HHS to get on the schedule once the talent level was dropping.

Because SK is doing better...at least HHS is a 5A school! They are making strides!

I wish they would schedule an Ohio school or two. Even in a down year, most Ohio programs would present a significant challenge. I also believe a loss or two in the out of district season increases focus and attention in practice.

This game was painful to watch after the first quarter. The only thing lost this year though, is a few games and a little pride. The team is back to work on the off week and will hopefully show up ready to play in the district games and the playoffs.

That statement is such garbage. I have seen some HHS fans try to toss that out as a reason why NKY teams scheduled Highlands.

 

It's garbage to think that any NKY teams knew HHS would be terrible this year. They are coming off of a State Championship title, their 7th in the last 8 years. That on top of the fact that Highlands traditionally has always been a senior driven team. Players wait their turn until they are upperclassman and can finally step on the field as starters and that more times than not comes when they are seniors.

 

For anyone to say everyone knew this would be a down year and that is why they scheduled HHS is the biggest farce I've ever heard. How on earth could teams in the area know Highlands would be so far down this year? Shoot, even their own fans didn't even expect it. The prediction thread going into the season had a 80+ to 20 in favor of Highlands not only beating Cooper, who by the way everyone knew was returning the majority of their starters from a state semi finalist appearance last year, but they predicted Highlands blowing out Cooper. This from their own fans. so if the people closest to the program didn't know it was going to be such a down year for Highlands, how on earth are the other NKY teams going to know Highlands would be so bad and that is why they scheduled them this year.

First off RELAX.... I wasn't stating that it was true I was simply mentioning that it had been brought up previously that teams come calling when HHS is down. Also, nice job not missing an opportunity to bring up Cooper.
