Actually i haven't seen any answer to the question of how coaches would know Highlands would be down this year.

 

Answer me these couple of questions.

 

Did Highlands win the State Title last year?

 

Has Highlands historically, at least the last 8 years, been a team that has been known for their players waiting their turn and that turn usually came when they were upperclassmen and seniors?

 

So with that the case, how would coaches know what kind of talent Highlands had this year when just like years past no one outside of Highlands knows until that season because most of the starters especially in skill positions like QB are usually first time starters as seniors.

 

So coaches around the area knew how good bench players were for Highlands is what you are claiming along with others when you all didn't even have a clue?

 

All coaches talk. They all know each other. They see freshman and JV classes talent and results. They know what's coming at each school. Again, if they didn't and I were the AD, they wouldn't be around very long. You can challenge it all you want. Coaches are very in touch with their sport and their area. It's what they do!!!!

WOW, very defensive about the playing teams out of state to help there national ranking I see. You got my point, I think. As far as the locker room thing with Warner, there isn't another NKY coach who would have been happy with what Dale did either. BTW Ryle did beat your beloved Bluebirds during that run as well, and that's the REAL reason Highlands didn't want to renew the contract, welcome to the reality that is Highlands football right now, and a program on the way down, enjoy the ride!

First, who did they play from Penn?? Second, did HHS ever travel to FLA??? And when did we start talking in this thread as to why Mueller retired??? But I'll ask you, then why isn't he still teaching and the AD??? Oh yea, it's because he wanted to retire.

Once again, I never claimed that other coaches knew I was just quoting what had been said in previous threads.

All you had to do was watch Highlands in a 7 on 7 this pre season, even a blind man could see they were going to struggle this year.

Funny how you nailed that. You do know though it's never Highlands doing what they claim others to do. It's always others guilty of that.

 

So I assume this was true they beat St X (Cincy) when they were ranked nationally. And when they scheduled the team from FLA that went on to go to the finals of the Fla state in one of the largest classes in FLa. And when is Elder or Moeller or St X EVER down as it compares to KY football?? You are talking about a school that is half the size of all those top football programs in two of the top states in the nation. Regardless if someone felt they were down when HHS played them...they still played them when no one else would and still competed with the top programs from the top states in the nation. So please explain your theory. Because many times, even if you play a "down" Elder or St X, they would at the minimum be the second best team in the state just about every year in KY and some of those years they would have been the best regardless if you include T...even in a down year!!! It's funny how some try to twist it against you.

We talked and you and a couple others said your only concern was at the QB position and that was true. Yet you and Qryche knowing that also predicted huge lopsided win over Cooper. That is my point, that even you all didn't know the birds would be this bad.

 

I think I said my biggest concern was the QB position. I have said on here for years that I was also concerned about the depth because we had two classes in a row that were not very deep with great athletes. You can look it up. It's on here several times in the past.

 

But you have also changed you tune about the prediction. Cause you won't find it from me.

 

What you are right about is I didn't know it would be "this" bad. But I had a feeling they would struggle a little. But how they handle the struggle was what was up in the air. Again, this team is not as bad as they are playing or showing on the field. I know they are good and have the ability to turn it around. They are the ones that have to do it though.

Hardly any school systems pay for busing.

 

I know that. My point is to hire multiple greyhound buses to cart 100 football players around is not cheap and it was a hassle to earn the money to do so. If they didn't have to do it, they wouldn't have.

No...your point was traveling was not an issue or concern. You said don't use "traveling" now. Playing those out of state or Cincy schools had nothing to do with traveling or boosting the ratings. JOAT already told you how the FLA schools ended up on the schedule. They were last minute fillers that we were lucky to get.

 

It's so funny how others outside the program "think" they know so much about HHS' program. Hilarious!
