4 impacted wisdom teeth that were cut out with a scalpel.

Almost 6 years ago I fell off of a roof and broke by neck and back. Fractured C7, T2, T3, T4, & T6. Spent 3 days in ICU and another week in the hospital and missed about 17 weeks of work.

 

I did learn something from the experience. If anyone every asks if you would like some Dilaudid, the answer is most certainly yes. As soon as the put it in the IV you just feel a warm comforting sensation flowing through your body.

Working for a year with a completely fused. Had to wait a year so I could get another leave of absence after I had a knee replaced. Damn nickname "Chester" was hung on me and I can't watch Gunsmoke at all.

That first time they made me walk after my C-Sections was pretty bad.

But I remember the pain in my knee after having woken up from surgery as being worse.

But I think both are trumped by the pain of having my ears lances with a scalpel and drained with some sort of evil sucking machine. This happened frequently until I was 5 when they took my tonsils out. And I was awake for each time. It flat out was horrible.

I had my sciatica flare up last year. It was so bad that I was crying and could barely move. My wife took me to the ER. It took 3 people to get me out of the car.

 

Then I had knee replacement surgery this past February. The pain from that was a very close second because it lasted at least a month before it started to really get better.

Pneumonia & Kidney Stones at the Same time back in 2003. There were a few times I thought my time was up. Some of the most unbelievable pain that I have ever encoutered. I remember waking up one morning to the U.S. Capturing Sadam Hussain during that time.....

I think it was when I hit a home run against this Randolph team and sprinted the bases like Pete Rose. I should of took it easy since we were up 15-0.

Without question the feeling right after waking up from heart-surgery. It was over 20 years ago, but I remember the pain being excruciating and any time I tried to open my mouth the only thing that came out was uncontrollable vomit. Miserable, however it did go away fairly quickly.
