I had appendicitis when I was a kid that my pediatrician misdiagnosed as a stomach virus. My appendix then ruptured causing all kinds of problems. I had to have two surgeries and spent 6 weeks in the hospital. The pain from the surgeries was nothing like the pain when it burst. I was unable to walk the pain was so bad.

Struck by lightning!?! WOW That explains a lot haha. No seriously I like to hear the story about that one.

1) A dentist did not get me numbed all the way and hit a nerve, drilling out a cavity.

2) Broken ankles. Broke each one, twice.

3) Gout. I've had it since I was 18. It also attacks my ankles. I always keep Indometacin close by, though I haven't had an attack in 4 years.

I've never been cut on. Something tells me I won't take to that too kindly.

Gout. For realz, yo. It's horrible. Make a grown man cry.

With all of your weight loss, especially as fast as you lost it, I'd keep an anti-inflammatory near. As your body detoxifies it will loosen purine deposits embedded in the joints and cause gout attacks.

Been there, done that.

Migraine headaches.

Two 9 lb. babies.

Two kidney stones are a close second.

9 lbs????? Dang, my first two added together didn't total that. Of course their mother is tiny and one was a preemie.

I'm completely uncomfortable just reading about kidney stones. I feel like the more I read about them, the more likely I am to get one. Sounds awful.

4 impacted wisdom teeth that were cut out with a scalpel.

If dude did it with a scalpel only, I need to see his technique.

I was caught, by my own making sadly, in the middle of a brush fire and had burns to my lower leg and arms. That was bad. But having the skin peeled off and sitting in a whirlpool after, well, I'd rather have kidney stones.

Nothing of great significance though I have a tendency to forget about some things. My first broken arm was bad but I was 12 at the time so I can't really compartmentalize my pain tolerance at that time. Recently, having the graston therapy applied to my achillies I called it Mr. Mayhem. I was in tears the first few times I went. Excruciating.

I've heard some women say kidney stone pain was worse than childbirth. Others say it's close, but not as bad.

My late father had quite a few kidney stones during his life. He once commented that he'd always heard that kidney stone pain was similar to child birth. Then he'd add, "No way! I don't want to ever have another kidney stone but some women will have more children."

OMG, I'm losing it. I'm usually much more careful. 30 years of beatings from my lovely wife should have trained me better.

I was actually talking height wise. She claims to be 5'1" but I know when I first met her you could barely see the top of her head over the 5' office partitions we had. And that was in low heels. 5' is probably stretching it. Our biggest baby was a shade over 6 lbs and that's when she said enough!
