@MARcCarig: Doesn't sound like Mets are done trying for more deals, even after Uribe/Johnson trade.

Danny Knobler is predicting that in the end the Dodgers will get Price, the Rangers will get Hamels, the Blue Jays will get Leake & Chapman, the Nationals will get Kimbrel, the Yankees will get Zobrist, and the Royals will land Cueto.

We shall see how accurate he ends up...

Can you imagine facing the Dodgers in the post season and going against Kershaw, Greinke and Price? Yikes! I know Kershaw has been subpar in the postseason but that can change in a heartbeat...

It would be unfair

@jaysonst: Speaking of Chapman . . . #Reds have asked other teams for 3 higher-level prospects in return, according to clubs that have spoken w/ them.

Cole Hamels just threw a no no in probably his last start as a Philly. After a bad last couple starts he made a statement today. Was touching 96 in the last inning, I honestly didn't know he still had that velocity let alone with 120+ pitches.

Side note I'm not sure the CF caught the ball on the last out. Looked like it hit the dirt but they haven't showed it in slo mo yet.

If this is Johnny's last game as a Red he's giving them their money's worth.

@ken_Rosenthal: #Royals were close to acquiring Cueto from #Reds earlier tonight, sources tell me and @jonmorosi. Deal fell through.

@ken_Rosenthal: Sources indicate that the problem was that one of the players going from the #Royals to the #Reds for Cueto did not check out medically.

Good to see Cueto go out like that. His velocity and health looked great which should put to rest the health concerns. Curious to hear who they would've acquired from KC had the deal checked out. Speculation is Manea or Zimmer. Still sounds like he will probably head there just with different pieces involved. Hopefully tonight's outing by Cueto and the failed physical of one of KCs prospects raises the asking price a bit. The anticipation of seeing who the reds acquire is killing me.

It was apparently Zimmer...

It was apparently Zimmer...

Zimmer didn't check out physically? What can you tell me about Zimmer?

Like I said, they wont end up trading him.

Why in the heck would you want to trade for a guy that has already had surgery once and still pitching in the minors? That would be like acquiring a bat that strikes out 30 to 40 percent of the time, but may hit 25 homers.
