Seems too generic. But, as Habib stated, it could stick around for a while. Admittedly, I don't have the same nostalgia that some others might have for the helmet, so perhaps that's why I don't feel too strongly either way. Let's just get back to winning some football games.

- completely uncreative- looks like they opened up a font book and slapped a cross in the middle of the C they found on page six.

- I actually like the idea of integrating the the cross into the design- just don't like the completely uninspired way it was integrated with the C.

- last but not least, I wonder if anyone thought for a second "gee, this looks a lot like the C on the helmets of a team (Conner) 15 miles away"?

Based on the logo being in blue, I assume this also means CCH will be going to white helmets?

I mean it isn't bad, the old was just much much better. I would really like to know who gave the final word to have the helmet changed.

What is worse is the old logo was designed by a student. The first year CCH used the shooting star colonel was in 1985 and the Colonels went 10-0 eventually losing in the playoffs.

I'll just hold on to the hope that they will change back after a year or two. The shooting star colonel used to be a big logo for CCH. Years ago every student would get a magnet of the logo for their cars at the start of the school year.

I think that would actually look pretty sharp. It is just to much like the middle school helmet though.

Before 85', CCH had a C on the helmet with a Colonel head in it. But I agree.

Logo doesn't matter to me. I just wish they would pick a shade of blue and be consistent with it.

If you are trying to say I'm not a CCH fan, you couldn't be further from the truth. I attended more CCH games last year than any other team besides Cooper. I just was never a fan of the CCH shooting star look. Always looked out of place, maybe it was the Red in it stood out too much, don't know.. I like this new logo because I was always under the belief that simple is better. I like the C with the cross in the middle. Looks classy.

Have to agree with Hellbird, always thought the old one was to busy. Like the new one, it will look more uniform for all sports.

I like it. I am a big fan of the classic, simple look. You don't have to be flashy to be iconic. Think of Penn State or the Indy Colts. And, I was so glad to see MLB uniforms return to a classic look. Maybe the most recent shooting star CCH logo could appear on the jersey sleeves or on a pant leg to maintain the connection to the past.

It's basically the same design of a logo from when I was in school, but the C is in a different font. I remember it from Art class. Not very imaginative, and I actually like the original design better, but I like it better than the swoosh.

 

I was never a fan of the "New England Colonels" helmets we have now. lol That's what they always reminded me of.

I like going with something that could become easily identified with the school throughout the years. I also like the inclusion of the cross. But I don't think they're integrated very well and they're missing the mark.

 

If the Colonels go on to have a great year, beat the Birds and win state, I think the logo becomes immediately more acceptable

Is the cross the first step to renaming the team "Saints" or "Crusaders"?
