CovCath's New Football Helmet Logo

Featured Replies

To be clear, the change has absolutely nothing to do with any perceived attempt at being politically correct.

Correct! Absolutely nothing to do with it.

I really want to see it on the helmet. Real logo on a real helmet and I believe it will look sweet. Foe example I dont look to good standing alone but standing next to LawnBoy I look like Brad Pitt.

 This just announced......KentuckyJoe will be appearing at the Funny Bone this weekend.

Not having any sentimental attachment to the previous shooting Colonel logo I really like the new logo especially if they re-brand all uniforms with it. I think it's a classic look and the cross in the middle of the C follows much of what they teach at CCH and that is keeping your faith at the center and core of everything you do.

It's like they took Conner's logo, and replaced the cougar with a cross.

Just plain and ugly. Really think with today's ability to put graphics on helmets that they swung and missed.

No one has addressed the elephant in the room. What becomes of #newpants .

Are those the ones CCH (or is it just C now?) broke out for the Highlands game?

Nahh...that's got little-to-nothing to do with it. Cov Cath has had a re-branding effort as a whole for their emblems, logos, etc for well over a year now, and it's all based around trademarking. I believe (until now) that the only trademarked logos Cov Cath owned were their school seal and the helmet logo. Now they added this, and are planning to use it on everything. I'm not very fond of it...in the least.

I knew about this a long time ago. I didn't realize that across the sports program that so many different logos were used. Not a fan of this style, but guess it save some money over the long run???

I'm not sure, exactly. I've never been given an exact reason for the re-branding.

First time I've seen the logo actually on a helmet. I'm still firmly planted in the "looks pretty lame" camp.

Is it just me, or does it appear that they're using Microsoft Word to design the football and soccer uniforms at Cov Cath these days.

Here is what I know for sure, Coach Robertson looks like a young Mike Listerman in that picture. I've never thought that in real life, but man, he has that look in this picture.

I think Bob Rowe explained the logo well.

Consistency

Cross at the center of everything at CCH.

I'll give it to the folks on the re-branding panels that the new logo looks pretty sharp at mid-field on the new turf. The whole new field looks really sharp for that matter.

But what in the world is happening to the athletic uniforms at Cov Cath? Why have they ceased to actually put any "design" into them. Instead of seeing our teams on the field or on the news or in photographs and knowing "that's Cov Cath playing", people will see them and see "that generic blue and white team with the incredibly nondescript uniforms".

As someone who never much liked the old logo, especially the inclusion of the color red, I like the new look.

The all BLUE look & CROSS are more reflective of what CCH is based on.

Although, I think the new logo may pay homage to my GPA senior year in Park Hills . . . C+

Somebody get that man a CCH sweater vest!
