Do the football and dance teams practice together? -
I'm always concerned that CovCath will start beating the Bluebirds. The latest new coach in Park Hills doesn't amplify or alleviate that concern. It seems like just last fall the decline of Highlands -- new coach, untested QB, less talent, etc -- was a concern to some. But, things worked out ok. And, I will subjectively state that Highlands fans are more objective.

Really? What's the story there? -
This year the speech was as complicated as (1) be good kids; (2) listen to you parents; and, (3) work hard at whatever you do (for example, beating Cov Cath).

Yes. 52(?) years now. The 3/4 division is a relatively new addition.

Do you really think anyone would have waited patiently for commanders to debrief the SEALs and compose a complete and precise recount of the action? I doubt Obama got to watch the entire action like a video game. If they didn't come out with details immediately they would have been accused -- by some -- of manufacturing the story. No matter how this story was rolled out, there would be people picking on the government for something. Personally, I'm proud of the fact that we undertook this action and did so in such a competent and professional manner.

Funding The Military A Distraction For Obama
Butters replied to cammando's topic in Kentucky / National Politics
An even a Republican -- and Tea Partier -- Congressman: "The House Majority has now placed the funding for the Department of Defense and the funding for the troops down as a bargaining chip," he writes. "In the last 100 days, the House Majority could have passed at any point in time a separate stand alone Appropriations for the Department of Defense and the funding for our men and women in uniform." http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-503544_162-20051890-503544.html -

That's contrary to this report: http://thinkprogress.org/2011/04/07/house-gop-troop-funding-cut/ -
Grassley on Fox News on individual mandates: But when it comes to states requiring it for automobile insurance, the principle then ought to lie the same way for health insurance. Because everybody has some health insurance costs, and if you aren’t insured, there’s no free lunch. Somebody else is paying for it….I believe that there is a bipartisan consensus to have individual mandates. So much for personal responsibility.

Below is a good observation on both extremes -- this one was directed at Rush, Palin, Beck, etc.

Since Graeters doesn't like Kentucky anymore, we should bring Jeni's down from Columbus. I'd invest if they opened in the old Greaters locations.

FoxNews = "unrealistic" NPR = "intellectually offensive" True, you know that you will get the republican slant with Fox and the liberal slant with NPR. I wouldn't give Fox a pass because they are bad at trying to hide their bias. Both organizations are run by people. The people at Fox are just lying about their brand and everyone seems to accept it as ok. I think NPR has a liberal slant in the stories they choose to report on but generally try to report fairly.
