Agreed. I'm beyond the change of appearance. The colonels need to focus on execution and team cohesion and work to restore the lagging football program.

And I dare say that not many other programs in the state not named Trinity would fair any better getting past the third round against Highlands the past 8 years. Not an excuse- just a fact.

Also if you are to go see the field in person, you will see that the logo and letters are yet to be put down, the cutouts are simply laid on top of the other turf. They have yet to sew in the logo and letters

I consider it a non-issue as people will get used to it with time. All that really matters is the teams on the field are playing at a high level.

 

I don't know, I brand new field to play on could be a real hindrance. :lol2: I kid, I kid...

CCH has finally and correctly made the decision to not allow anyone on top of the press box. It's been an injury waiting to happen. Having done a few broadcasts with Mark I can tell you it's a problem to get up there. I remember a coach from Ashland trying to slide down the roof to the opening to get down. Thought we might have to call the fire department.

 

Problem is that now they need a place for Mark to do the broadcast and , I think, a place for the stat guys. Plus the teams will now be doing their game films from inside the press box which isn't a great angle.

 

Hopefully, a new press box is in the near future.

I like the staggered pattern of the field. The lighter color will likely help with on field heat.

For what it's worth...Cov Cath is making an event of the game for the Colonels football alumni. They're calling it the "2015 Throw Back Game". Kind of cool.

In 2007, they played Beechwood at CCH on a Friday night. They brought in portable lights for that one.
