How is the "old school" CovCath crowd feeling about the new logo? Personally, I like it. But I could see how some wouldn't. The old one was classic.

I hope they use some of the trim pieces to put in front of the baseball field dugouts

I think the new logo is really nice. Has a refreshed feel, but also seems classic and traditional. Nice job to the designer and those that selected it.

One of the best looking fields in the state.

Awesome looking field. Always love the two tone designs. Not a fan of Covington in the one end zone, but very nice overall. Glad to see new goal post also. Can't wait to see my Birds this season on it.

I don't like the "Covington" and "Catholic", either. Too many people referring to Cov Cath as "Catholic" (as if we are Lex Cath). I'd rather have "Cov Cath" and "Colonels" or just "Colonels" in each endzone.

Completely agree -- hate the choices for the end zones.

I get why life-long CCH fans/alums may not like it.

 

I do not fall into that group so I'm not as bothered by it. I think the field looks really, really good. The logo looks good to me. The wording in the end zones is, frankly, irrelevant to me as long as it somehow ties to the school.

I consider it a non-issue as people will get used to it with time. All that really matters is the teams on the field are playing at a high level.

Agreed. I'm beyond the change of appearance. The colonels need to focus on execution and team cohesion and work to restore the lagging football program.
