March 29, 201511 yr Towns was basically the only offensive player that had it working tonight. Just a phenomenal game from him. Booker played well offensively I thought, just didn't get a ton of looks, but he seemed efficient with what he got.
March 29, 201511 yr ND 40 points in the paint, that's something I didn't think they could do to this team. Augeste was an absolute beast. As good as Towns was on offense, he was slacking on D pretty bad I thought. Cal mentioned it too.
March 29, 201511 yr Let's just say the last play was great team defense which it was. Willie running w Grant, basically pinning him to the baseline with Andrew forcing the pump and Trey cleaning up. It was beautiful and it all happened right in front of me!!! Right on point. They didn't need a three. WCS forced him into the corner when Grant could've tried to go to the paint for a lay up and/or foul. Great effort by Willie, Trey and Harrison.
March 29, 201511 yr Great game!!! I thought the Cats and Andrew went to early at the end of the game. When you have the ball in a tie game and you have the last shot, you make sure you get the last shot and do not give the other team a chance. Win or overtime. It worked out, but UK gave ND a chance to win it.
March 29, 201511 yr Harrison's 3 seemed big at the time, but was negated on Grant's 3. Irrelevant from then on, Grant's 3 put the game back in reset. You get what you get with the Harrison's. A big three, big foul shots. Two big turnovers down the stretch as well. Not sure if it was Webber or Elmore, but one of them mentioned "hero" plays after the live ball Harrison turnover late. I fear a hero play by one or both late as much as I think they will hit a shot. I'll have to watch the game again, but live they didn't seem like "hero" plays. One time Andrew just over penetrated when he should've hit the short jumper off of the pump fake and I can't remember the other time when they turned the ball over down the stretch. But they haven't given any reason to believe they won't make the right play IMO.

March 29, 201511 yr "Notre Dame had a great year. I feel bad for them. Notre Dame has a great team that could have won the National Championship". ~ Coach Cal. He's such an arrogant slimeball
March 29, 201511 yr Last night was what upsets are made of. ND made 4 incredibly difficult layups. 3 times a deflected or bobble ball landed in their hands for a layup. 2 times Lyles got a rebound or steal and hit a UK guard in the shoulder with the pass that led to an Irish basket. Yet they still won. Survive and advance, right? Also, I am glad that that 3 didn't go down at the end bc that means it would have a legendary finish to an amazing game and all future documentaries would have calls and interviews with Chris Webber. He is the worst commentator ever. Nobody takes a conversation from a to b to q like he does. He even screws up cliches. Awful
March 29, 201511 yr I said the same thing. Too early to go. It worked out but he left way too much time on the clock. Sounded like they had something going on, on the back side of that play, but Andrew wound up getting the open drive. Had he not had the drive, he would have kicked it for a different look and you need enough time for an offensive rebound. That's why it seemed like he went too early (which he did, but it was because the "real play" hadn't developed fully yet.
March 29, 201511 yr Agreed! It amazing to me that people have been saying on here most of the year that Wisconsin isn't that good and not much of a threat to beat UK. They are a very good basketball team and I think UK will win but it will be another close one. They just like Notre Same just play very good fundamental basketball and can spread the floor and can shoot. Not sure why people have thought they weren't that good. It will be a tough one. Who the heck has said Wisconsin isn't that good and not much of a threat to UK all year? Quite the contrary...

Awful Don't forget that before the game that Webber said UK is 22-0 when they hold their opponents to under 55 points. That may have been the worse thing a sportscaster has ever said.
March 29, 201511 yr Missed free throws with two or three minutes to play cost ND the game. They had two free throws and only made one on at least two occasions.
