On the other hand you cast away someone they become society's problem. You just hope he makes the most of this opportunity and becomes a contributing member to society here forward.

January 10, 201511 yr I'm pulling for him. While his actions in the past may have indirectly affected others, they have mainly affected him (as I understand the situation). Kids grow up at different ages nowadays. Give him as many chances as he needs as long he doesn't hurt anyone. Isn't that the American way?
January 10, 201511 yr Although no doubt bad choices along the way for a potential stud in the college football ranks, I fail to see where his acts were so outlandish enough for him to be made out to be some sort of hardened criminal not worthy of an opportunity to put behind him his youthful indiscretions. From what I recall it was incidences of the "party animal syndrome" that is not terribly uncommon with kids his age. Still I'm not making excuses for him, but many have gone through sophomoric periods in their lives only to eventually grow out of it and get on with their responsible lives. I know that I sure did and thankfully I'm lucky enough to not have a record to show for it. Not every kid who acts up some through their teens and twenties turn out to be big time losers. Certainly we can point to many fine kids who have walked the straight line their whole young lives and use them as examples of how we'd like kids to be, but if Zeke is now of the threshold of a potentially promising college football career, how about we just be happy for him and hope for the best. He's got a couple of more years now of life in him to process the past, and who knows perhaps he has a new lease on life. The idea of casting him away to the curb is ridiculous and maybe even more so immature in its nature than the immaturity that he himself went through. Kid deserves a chance... Go Zeke.. make yourself, and all of Northern Kentucky proud.

You just hope he makes the most of this opportunity and becomes a contributing member to society here forward. Why can't he contribute to society without getting his third chance at football? If it's a scholarship he is getting, I'd rather it go to a different kid. If he is going as a walk on more power to him.
January 11, 201511 yr Hopefully he has learned from his mistakes and will take full advantage of this opportunity.
