Zeke Pike to Murray State

I've always rooted for him. No one is hoping for him to fail like many on here are claiming, unless I miss the intent. But anyone who says they know he's got his stuff in order, well, forgive me for not wanting to hear that broken record. I hope he makes it. I'll say again, I'll be shocked if he does. I hope he proves me wrong.

Makes perfect sense. I know what you meant as your posting history would never lead me to believe you hope he fails. I think it's natural to have some level of skepticism. That doesn't necessarily mean, to me, that you hope he fails.

And I doubt many on here truly know if he has changed his ways or not. I would think that everyone hopes he has.

I will be highly surprised if this works out. Hopefully Zeke has cleaned his act up and becomes a productive member of society. I will believe it when I see it though. :deadhorse:

Yet you still have been unable to produce a single post to support that but whatever.

Its like I said, using that train of thought I can say it appears as some want him to die, even though they didn't say it, but I'm covered right? Because I said it APPEARS.

Thats what I'm talking about

. Don't take it the wrong way, I'm just trying to explain how it comes across when people can label others as wanting a young man to fail even though they didn't say anything of the sort. It would be like labeling you with something even though you aren't that type of person they are labeling you as.

Whatever man.....you be you. I'm going to be me.

How much eligibility does he have left. He enrolled at Auburn and burned his freshman year. Then had to sit out a year at Louisville, then played a year. If there was a redshirt year, he would have two left correct? Or does he just have one year left?

I've lost track of time, but isn't he now something like 30? :wacky:

I believe he was dismissed from Auburn before football started. I may be wrong on that though. If he was, does that still burn a year?

I wonder how many high character kids are paying for their education because Pike is getting his fourth strike?????

Academically, I think that this year would be his senior year, so I think one more year left.

Specifically because of Pike, I'd guess none, or one at the most. The number of high character (or any character as far as that goes) kids that can play football at a high level is very limited. Zeke, if he is getting a ride, is only taking up one of those spots. I have a son who is a senior in high school, who plays football, that is completely unaffected by Zeke getting another chance.

He did participate in spring ball that year which I think starts the clock ticking. My daughter graduated a year behind him and she is in the middle of her sophomore year, so academically he'd be a junior this current year, which makes him a senior for next season, unless he redshirted one of those years. I'm just not sure if he actually did redshirt one of those years.

You are correct, he would be a junior I forgot how he was held back and repeated, I think it was 7th grade.

I believe the rule is you have 5 years to play 4 from when you start. He should have 2 years left an be eligible right away.

Hopefully he realizes there won't be another chance. Prove us wrong Zeke.

I would have thought that would have happened after the first time? Pretty much the reason for all of the banter on this thread.

What did he even do to get kicked off Auburn and Louisville?
