Zeke Pike to Murray State

Featured Replies

For everyone that was complaining: Zeke is not on scholarship. He is a preferred walk on and has been told that if he makes one mistake, he's done.

I hope this kid has his :poop: together. It been a dang shame watching a kid with his talent just toss it away so far.

If the kid is as bad as many on here suggest, then how desperate must Murray be?

Take a look at some of the kids they have allowed on the team, coupled with the number of kids removed due to drug allegations....I think that answers the question

If that is the case then I am behind it 100%

If he was given yet another full ride then I have problems with it.

I've read where people say he deserves another chance etc. and this is his other chance. That doesn't mean he should get a full ride for the 3rd time in as many years when he continues to embarrass not only himself but his family and community.

I'll admit I've never been a fan of the kid, but I really hope he sticks it out at Murray and gets his degree.

Is this a final attempt of desperation by the Pike family to get Zeke an opportunity to show his talents for the NFL scouts?

It seems with all the problems he has had maybe they should just focus on him completing college from an academic perspective. However, if he has turned his life around and is willing to put in the hard work I am 100% behind him.

Forget the NFL, hopefully the family views this as an opportunity for the kid to be in a structured environment with the ultimate goal being graduation with a degree which prepares him for life after football.

Murray State has him listed as a QB.

Not today. Check their web site on their football roster for 2015; he is not listed.

I'm actually embarrassed for some of the people's posts in this thread.

I'm not asking this because I have a particular agenda, because I don't care one way or another. I'm just curious as to why you say this.

Wish Zeke Pike well and it is my sincere hope he can right his ship. Trail blaze a new path young man and hush your well deserved critics!

It could become a great turnaround story ... or another sad chapter. One person is writing it ... Zeke. He has all the support he needs but it is still up to him to create his story.

Well said. I'm on the pessimistic side but wish the kid well.

Any word on how Zeke looks during spring practice at QB?

Zeke will be working with QB guru George Whitfield.
