I've been critical of Zeke on BGP but just to cast someone away is a foolish decision. I would think for Murray to take the chance on him means he's cleaned his act up atleast a little.

I don't thnk anyone was casting him aside, he and HS family have the resources that he can still get a great education without sports. It's his continuing to get things handed to him like scholarship with nothing deserving of such sends just a bad message in my book.

 

If he is getting a scholarship then I disagree with it 110%. If he isn't getting a scholarship then I'm ok with it.

No one wants to see anyone tossed aside, and he has never really been tossed aside. He has instead, starting in High School, acted as if he could do anything he wanted and disregard his teammates, coaches, teachers etc.

 

Sorry I dnt thnk he deserves a 4th shot to play while there are kids out there busting their butt to just try and stay on a roster.

Kid got multiple chances. Auburn gave him numerous chances starting when he was still in H.S. Loyisville gave him multiple chances. This isn't like he made 1 mistake and got caught.

 

He can go, and is welcome to go wherever he and his family want to send him to get a great education. Just because many think he doesn't deserve a free ride after all the chances he got and blew already, isn't tossing him aside.

I thought you were because your post came right after mine and then you quoted my response as if I did. I read all the posts in this thread and not one wished him any ill will. So no, not a guilty conscience at all.

 

What I did read is several including myself, who felt he has had more than several chances and have thrown them all away when it comes to football scholarships. I also read where a couple, mmyself included said we have no issue at all if he is walking on the team.

 

With me it all comes down to my beliefs where I think people need to be held accountable for their actions and some may never learn when they can do whatever they want as long as they keep being handed everything on a silver platter. I guess it's just the way I was brought up. One should be held accountable and have to deal with the conseqiences of their actions.

I agree. He's been held accountable several times. And while I'm not a fan of Zeke, I'm not sure why anyone feels it's necessary to deny him another chance to play football. If he were a tuba player, or on the chess team, I doubt we would hear any complaints. It may sound crazy, but come on, it's just football. People get second, third and 5th chances every day.
