And just like MTGL said, I really miss him.

Crazy to think it's been two and a half years. Damn.

Miss him every day. Just had dinner with his folks 2 weeks ago, what wonderful people they are. They've somewhat "adopted" me as part of the family. The blessings of Birdsfan's friendship just continues for me, I'm so grateful for that. What a true friend he was to me.

I've been on BGP so little over the past few years that his absence is still fresh in my mind. His insight, keen wit, and sense of humor are irreplaceable in my humble opinion and I consider myself very lucky to have been able to run into him a few times during my time on BGP. Never have I seen a person with so many physical limitations live a life of limitless optimism. We are all better for having known him.

I thought about him lastnight he would have loved that game lastnight.

I've been able to come up and visit his grave around this time in the 2 years since he left us. Mrs. S and I also go by and see his parents. We can't make it this year, but I'm going to do my darnedest to get up there in the spring.

I think about @Birdsfan all the time. 

We recognize Birdsfan and other members our graduating class with two scholarships to graduating seniors.  It was his idea to start it and it has continued on since.
