I'm not going to say very much negative about the twins because I had to eat some crow last year at the end of the regular season and during the tournament run, so I'll just leave it at they didn't have much to offer today. Each hit a timely shot but jeez did they ever make some bad decisions and turnovers.

 

I don't think many NBA scouts would be very impressed with their performance in this game. But there's a lot of season left.

Andrew is "great"? Loose use of the word to put it mildly...

 

Ok, he may not be great. But he is definetly a good player, which more times than not, causes matchup problems for the other team. Against someone like Jones, Andrews size actually hurts him. But like I said, how many times will UK see another guard like Jones this year, and when they do, Ullis is capable of handling the smaller guards. It's nice having so many options, but imo, no one should sell out on Andrew just yet.

I've backed the twins more than anyone on this site. That said, it has been clear through 13 games that Ulis is a better point guard. That isn't saying Andrew needs to be benched, but the ball should be in the hands of Ulis more often than not...

Great win for UK. This was the 1 game I was worried about going into the season. The long break between games

Need to get Ulis in the flow of a consistent 25-30 minutes a night. Even if it means going 3 guards and playing him with Andrew more often...

I think that these two teams are the best defensive teams in the country along with Virginia. U.L. plyed very physical, U.K. didn't really start pushing back until the 2nd half. T. Ulis played one helluva game along with Towns. I will say that after their paying days are over at U.L.., their guards will get work in Hollywood. They will have to perfect their act though, a couple of their several "flops" were really bad but still got the call, lol.

U.K. came out un the 2nd half "pushing back" and the Cats depth eventually worked on U.L.. Another huge difference in this one was how U.K. hit the boards, especially in keeping the cards off their offensive glass.

U.L. is as good as advertised and certainly deserve their ranking, I actually thought that they were the #3 team and ahead of Arizona. I don't know how far they will drop but imo it shouldn't be much if any at all.

 

I have to say it , with 7 of the last 8 in the U.K. Win column......What Rivalry ?? Doesn't a team have to win some to make it a rivalry :idunno:

In retrospect, I think UL should've seen what Mahmoud could've done. He can pass the ball, handle it and has good offensive moves. He is long, even for a 7-footer, but he is sligjht. I'd have given him a few minutes to see.
