Well the double digit streak falls by the wayside (barely), but honestly, this game wasn't as close as the final. I thought as soon as the lead got to double digits the game was practically over. UL just couldn't make enough shots today to get back from that. And it was REALLY over when Blackshear only hit 1/3 from the line on a three point foul. Instead of being down 5 they were down 7 and I don't believe got closer than that afterwards.

Louisville ultimately shot 26% from the floor and 21.4% from three. And that really came up late as they made two late threes to raise their percentage about the under 10% it had been. 17/24 from the line kept them in it for a while, but a majority of those misses came late. UL won't be happy with it (nor should they be), but the reality is that if they'd shot a little better from their open looks they could have been right there. Of course, UK missed a lot of open looks early too that could have given more comfort, but they made some shots during their late run that UL just never did.

I was able to get this exclusive picture of Aaron Harrison after the game:

Just like the NCAA tournament, he kind of goes through the motions the whole time, then out of no where will hit a huge shot.

Congrats to UK. Tyler Ulis was a beast and carried the Cats. UL is just a bad team offensively, and playing a stellar defense like UK's only amplified the problem. Good luck to the Cats the rest of the way.

Those are two heavy weight defenses right there. Neither offense is that dynamic yet but watching the defensive side of the ball is a thing of beauty. Especially on the ball defense by both teams.

Brutal game to watch, but as a UK fan it was fun. UK hit big shots when they needed to and played solid D, which is what they had to do. Three best Cats today to me were

1. Ullis

2.Towns

3.Lyles

UK definitely hit big shots when they needed to. Louisville couldn't throw it in the ocean on wide open looks.
