December 27, 201411 yr I've backed the twins more than anyone on this site. That said, it has been clear through 13 games that Ulis is a better point guard. That isn't saying Andrew needs to be benched, but the ball should be in the hands of Ulis more often than not... I can agree with that. Imo, Ullis is the best pg, but Andrew also presents matchup problems with a lot of guards, due to his size. Imo, Andrew should play with his brother on the first platoon. Ullis will be at UK for a few years imo, due to his size, not his ability. To me there shouldn't be any controversy, they should split minutes just like they have all season. In rare cases like today, play Ullis more.

December 27, 201411 yr A bit surprised UL played four guys 35+ minutes. UK wore them down and made plays down the stretch to keep them at arms length. The PG controversy for the Cats will be interesting to watch unfold... :popcorn: There won't be one. Cal went platoon expecting this at a position. It's also not like before the NCAA tourney it's going to be an issue in most games.

I haven't looked at it, but doubt it happened or I believe we would have seen a reaction out of Booker. In other news, UL would have probably liked to keep Booker on their side of the bench.

December 27, 201411 yr Got ya. I think that is the best recipe for this team as it continues to develop... Hard part is when Booker is on he is the best scorer and Lyles has the best mid range game. Not to mention Lee was turning into odd man out today and I still think he has one of the brightest futures playing pro ball on this team.

December 27, 201411 yr IF you traded Jones for Ullis, the Cards would be solid. I think that's probably right. Jones is completely beefheaded and at the most critical moments in the game, forgets any coaching he's ever received. I'm sick to death of him. Unfortunately for the Cardinals, he's a monumentally better defender than Snider at this point, so he gets all the minutes. I hope for the Cardinals' sake that Snider gets a lot better this offseason and that Donovan Mitchell is everthing he's cracked up to be.

What was he supposed to do? Wear lifts? He never saw the ball. Credit to Kentucky for covering him up and discredit to Louisville's guards for again failing to find him for huge stretches of the game (just like in the second half of the Ohio State game).
