Jared hates UL and hopes they never win another game. That being said, he isn't the type of guy to serious hope players get hurt. He's made it through some pretty significant injuries so I doubt it was anything more than 'good radio'.

Had always thought Lorenzen seemed like an okay dude. Clearly, he's nothing more than a classless hack.

 

I think he is, or at least could be, a good dude. However, I think he is an ex-jock who is struggling to get a career off the ground and is desperate to hang onto a time when he was famous and popular. Like many other things, I just find it more sad than anything else.

As usual, you are the voice of reason in UK-fandom....as well as BGP in general. To paraphrase Jim Rome, more of you (posting) and less of me (and others posting) is good for BGP.

Full disclosure, I am first and foremost a WKU fan, just not much to talk of cheer about. I then like UK followed by U of L a bit behind. Really enjoy following all our KY teams and am torn when they play each other.

Couch is a professional journalist now, calling games and doing pre-game shows. Jared is doing KSR as a fill in. Huge difference in levels amongst those guys.

He's a clown. And remarkably unprofessional. Probably one of the reasons he can't get a gig anywhere other than KSR. Those losers probably gave him a pat on the back and a promotion.

I think what he said probably came off way worse than what he was meaning.

He isn't glad somebody got hurt. He makes it very clear that he feels terrible for the kid.

Saying he wishes Parker and Dyer are out too seems to have been interpreted as hoping they get hurt, but I think he's just saying he knows it would be better for Kentucky if they didn't play in that matchup.

I understand what he is saying - he hates UL. But we are talking about possible career ending injury for young man who don't even know Ja-Load

 

He can't get any other job so he spouts of about people and teams to draw attention.

I heard the statement before I read reaction to it. I thought to myself, "Did he really just say that?"

 

I thought it was a strange thing that he had just said, regarding Gardner, "I hate it for the player, but I don't hate it for UL" (or something like that). Then in the next breath he makes the controversial statement that he did.

Did you read the actual quote ? No reasonable person if they read the entire quote would have some of these over the top reactions in this thread.
