Did you read the actual quote ? No reasonable person if they read the entire quote would have some of these over the top reactions in this thread.

The context takes the edge off it slightly but "I hope Parker and Dyer are out too" doesn't sound good no matter where you place it.

Let's say I buy that the quote was inappropriate (which I don't ) . There is no way in the world it was bad enough for some of these reactions. Some of these reactions in this thread you would think he took a baseball bat to Gardner's knee himself.

He didn't say anything malicious. When the Bengals play the Steelers I hope Big Ben is out ? How is that not a common thought process or statement by sport fans against opposing teams . This is down right hilarious.

It has nothing to do with being PC, IMO. He took a cheap shot, a classless one at that, and didn't expect any backlash from Louisville folks. Just like you don't think it was inappropriate, I absolutely think he meant he wishes they were all out hurt. We'll never convince each other differently, and that's fine.

Hoping someone is "out," to MOST people, would mean hoping they are hurt... Why else would they be out? Wishing injury on someone is below classless, regardless of any rivalry.
