October 22, 201412 yr I would have Morgan Freeman and Frank Caliendo pretending to be Morgan Freeman on there before Duncan and Rhames. Yeah, Morgan or Frank would have made a great John Coffey in The Green Mile. Probably would have won AA too!
October 22, 201412 yr Here is who I got. Denzel Washington James Earl Jones Will Smith Morgan Freeman Runner ups Sidney Poitier whoopie Eddie Murphy Samuel Jackson Forrest Whittaker Halle Berry No arguments about Denzel or Morgan. James Earl Jones is more about the voice, than him being a great actor. Aside from Field of Dreams, and him being the voice of Darth Vader, I can't think of any other great role he's had. I like Will Smith, but to me, he's an action guy...stars in good, fun movies, but he's only had two good serious roles, Ali, and Happyness. I'd say Laurence Fishbourne at deserves a mention too.

This! School Daze and Boyz n the Hood. And, I hated the Matrix movies but some people watched them.
October 22, 201412 yr Sidney Poitier Denzel Washington Morgan Freeman Samuel Jackson Hate to leave out Will Smith but those would be my top 4.
October 22, 201412 yr Sidney Poitier Denzel Washington Morgan Freeman Samuel Jackson Hate to leave out Will Smith but those would be my top 4. Since it's Mount Rushmore and there'e only room for 4, that's my list as well.
October 22, 201412 yr If Sidney Portier is not going to be on the mountain then just blow it up. A-a-a-a-men, A-a-a-a-men, A-a-men, A-men, A-men. (or a reasonable facsimile thereof)
October 22, 201412 yr You'd have to start with Sidney Poitier at the top and then work from there. Best Actor for "Lillies Of The Field" in 1963. He made 3 movies in 1967 that were classics: "In The Heat of the Night", "To Sir, With Love", and "Guess Who's Coming To Dinner". His Best Actor votes were so divided between those 3 movies that he lost out to his co-star in "In The Heat Of The Night", Rod Stieger, a point that Stieger acknowledged during his acceptance speech. He was also nominated for an Oscar for 1958's "The Defiant Ones". Denzel would be number two on my list, followed by Morgan Freeman and James Earl Jones.
October 22, 201412 yr Denzel Washington Samuel Jackson Will Smith Don Cheadle I'm only 40 years old so Sidney Poitier deosn't do it for me. I could not care less about him or any of his movies.

October 22, 201412 yr Denzel Morgan Freeman Will Smith They are locks. The 4th spot is debatable. Will Smith?!?!?! Man, we've got to get you a Netflix subscription or something.
