Everyone knew it would be tough since the last 3 or 4 teams to win on Saturday night there were ranked #1 at the time or were #1 during the season at some point. Early special teams snafus hurt and let LSU play with house money. Tough situation after that.

Finish strong and try to make a strong showing the SEC East and get to a bowl. Put this one behind them and move on.

While I don't think they'd have won, the pitiful special teams in the first quarter squashed any hopes of playing a respectable game. LSU can't be a national factor with a QB the caliber of theirs. He stinks.

Its time to close down this thread, dream for a year of next year and get out the round ball. I doubt there will be the 6tH win we all hope for

Uk didn't get off the bus! LSU had the momentum straight from the get go. I agree that the Wildcat and throws in the flat will not work against a team like LSU. If the offensive line doesn't get better UK isn't going to beat anyone the rest of the year. They were absolutely pathetic! I thought the defense played well most of the game. You can't have them on the field as long as much as they were and expect them to be effective. I don't even want to talk about the special teams! That guy needs to be fired!!! What a joke!!

The kickoff was a diaster, either onside it or kick it off. Then I hope Neal Brown takes the Towles running into the line play out of the playbook. All that does it costs us a down.

The good news for next week is I think this refocuses this team and they come out firing on all cylinders next week, and play to their full potential. Unfortunately they have to play the best team in the nation.

Tonight all boils down to the mindset of the team. They played scared, totally different than USC. LSU brought it every single play, UK took it and never hit back. LSU offense didn't dominate until the game was in hand either. Special teams killed the game from the begging and they just couldn't recover.

Good post.

Still think it is going to be tough to get it, I would say they won't. Hope I am wrong, but this team is a year away.

Mizzou and Tennessee are their only real chances. The other games will be similar to this, even Louisville. Their only saving grace is that besides Georgia the rest of the SEC East is very inconsistent.

This is a realistic spin on UK's chances for that important sixth victory.

The real problem with last night's lopsided loss is the psychological effect. UK had won three in a row and had a lot of momentum. Last night killed it.

The sixth win will be very tough to find for this young team.

Got our hats handed to us.

MSU and UGA games could be ugly.

Season ain't over though. Missou, UT, and UofL are all winnable games.

Reality check for those of you thinking they would win the East. UK is making great strides on the field but they still have a long way to go. Like someone said earlier, Men Vs Boys tonight.

I still hate the play calling by Brown. It's still not the Air Raid, not even close really. Not that it would have made a difference in this one. Josh Forrest totally quit in the second half too. I would have pulled him.

Plenty of blame to go around on offense. WRs had trouble getting releases. PT had trouble with accuracy on mid-range passes. OL struggled against pressure.

Forrest made a lot of tackles but too many were 7 yards downfield.

McWilson is NOT going to like film on 18's TD run in the 2nd half. He wanted no part of that runner.

Does anyone still want UK in the SEC title game this season?

Would love to see them make the championship game, that would mean they picked up several more wins.
