Is that film for the team or is that one of the famous "dad filmers?"

Sounds like things are really coming together for HHS.

Looking ahead, where is the regional final this year, assuming both #1 seeds get there. I know HHs gets the first two rounds at home as district #1 seed and our regional winner hosts the semi's since LexCath had them last year but with CovCath knocking off the #1 seed from the other district the last 3 years I lost track of the location rotation assuming both #1 seeds advance.

I think if a casual fan was watching last night he/she saw a clear distinction . One team seemed to be into how they looked: new pants, making sure you had one red glove and one blue glove, making sure your red towel was in place. The other team came out looking uniform and simply cleaned clock.

 

I've noticed the red gloves for awhile now. I took that as a target thing for the QB that when receiver gets down field, QB is able to distinguish between who and where he is throwing. If not that, then yeah, stop already. I'm not about all these players these days playing dress up to begin with.

 

As for the uniform thingy, CCH has taken their program to the level of psychological football and grasping for straws. It's a shame really.

 

CCH coaches today are asking themselves, wow, how do we make ourselves 63 points better by November because we all know it was closer to that score than the result. Ok I will give you it would have been a running clock earlier so HHS doesn't score 63 but 56, yes. This weeks game against Beechwood will be interesting. I'm thinking back to back games against your biggest rivals was a bad scheduling decision. If CCH loses this week, wow, the non fictional PHM will be out in full force.

That's our BDubbs guy that has a wind machine to send the game into overtime, but wasn't needed.

Being very sincere I was very surprised at the effort by Cov Catholic. Two weeks of prep and just poor execution. Players on the field issues, sold out against the deep pass, did not control LOS. There is no doubt who wanted it more. Coach Turner is the magic man! Cowboy this was not your first rodeo! From an old man that liked to hit in his day, I took notice there is a new sherif in town! We love the word Again in our part of the world and I know for a fact the boys were tired of being called out as mediocre. Wow the birds came to play. CCH we know you are much better than this and any true bird fan will freely admit that. Regroup and see you come play-offs.

Probably best for the so called "rivalry" this wasn't on TV as originally discussed.

Thanks TC, we appreciate the mutual respect, I think you will find that most if not all of the Highlands faithful are very respectful of their opponent especially when they know what is on the line, so no need for any Highlands supporter to run their mouth on this forum especially against CovCath.:thumb:

 

I give the Blueboys credit for giving it their best but it just want enough again. I am disappointed with all the hype though. Yes, it is Highlands week in PH and the Colonels have always been a formidable opponent and nemisis as history has proven itself but all the social media hype and news agencies did CovCath no extra favor leading up to this one. JMO

 

As for the Birds, a tremendous Defensive effort from every single position player tonite. The Birds D played Nasty tonite which is something we really have not seen this yr so perhaps they are beginning to find their own identity as a Defensive unit.

 

The domination of the Highlands D allowed the Offense to change their game plan and open up the offense as it appeared that Highlands was in total control of holding CovCath back. The intimidation factor was very obvious as the message was clearly sent.

 

Hope both Programs stay healthy for the rest of the campaign and we look forward to round 2 at DCM in November...

The death of Highlands football are greatly exaggerated!

 

Highlands game plan this week was simple..."Just play Football"

 

Time for the Birds to get focused for their next opponent and notch this win up as just another game but the more important fact that we will be playing on Friday nite instead of Sat afternoon:thumb:

They will play again later in the playoffs. Tremendous amount of respect to these 2 programs.
