That's a false requirement and we all know it. Winning games and stellar stats gets you the Heisman. Always has. Always will. Jay Mohr on his sports talk show is saying it is now impossible for Winston to win the Heisman this year. This latest incident has sealed his fate. I agree. With everything going on in the NFL, there will be heightened sensitivity on any behavior that isn't PC. I say zero chance Winston can win the Heisman this year. Who agrees and who disagrees?

Clemson, at least on paper, is the toughest opponent/game left on their schedule. IF they were to lose this game and Winston doesn't play 1/2 or all of it, I think the Final 4 Committee gives them a "Do Over" and doesn't hold a loss without Winston against them. Jimbo is in a Win-Win situation here suspending him. It looks likes he taking the actions seriously by holding his player accountable and if they were to actually lose the committee would likely give them a pass as long as they win out.

I don't think anyone is going to give Winston/FSU a pass ever again and I think it'll be hard to give a one loss FSU team a playoff spot over a one loss SEC team . I do still think they can and should beat Clemson with just a half of Jameis. I also think Notre Dame is a tougher game than Clemson and I am scared of UL on the road on a Thursday night. I still think Jimbo is an idiot for this. You want to teach him a lesson now? If he hasn't learned anything by now he never will. Just kick him off the team and lets all move on brand new.

September 17, 201412 yr I think it would be interesting to see a team suspend a player for the second half of a game, instead of the first half. So he knows going in he's got those 30 minutes to play. Would the team be super aggressive to start the game? Would their psyche change in the second half when the backup went in? Just things I think about!
September 17, 201412 yr If he stood up on a table and shouted what I just read that he did...not only should he be suspended, but he should be made to walk the sidelines with a big, pointy "Dunce" hat on...run gassers after the next several practices until he can't stand...and made to be the team manager and wash all the dirty jocks and towels for at least a couple of weeks. Obviously this kid just isn't getting the message, so a sterner message needs to be made.
