August 25, 201412 yr I've never even heard of JJ Cale?! I'll have to "al gore" that one... He's been covered by a lot of folks. Eric Clapton had hits with "Cocaine" and "After Midnight", which were both JJ Cale covers.
August 25, 201412 yr Has anyone seen the movie "Across the universe!" I am a Beatles fanatic but there are some really good covers in that movie that I really really like a lot. Joe Cocker's Come Together trumps not only Aerosmiths but also The Beatles version There are several others also.
August 25, 201412 yr I like "Wild Horses" done by the Flying Burrito Brothers better than the Rolling Stones version, even though they very similar. Gram Parsons just had a much better voice for the song than Mick.

Gram Parsons just had a much better voice for the song than Mick. You should check out the '90s Scottish alt-rock group The Sundays. I think I like their version of "Wild Horses" better than all of them. Harriet Wheeler's singing and the band's sound has a wonderful dreamlike quality to it that really suits that song well. August 26, 201412 yr Pomplamoose cover of "Beat It". Yep, I like it more than the Michael Jackson version. I'm in love with the lead singer...and though at first her voice is rather strange, it has an alluring, sexual quality to it that I like. Better than the MJ version ...... come on man. T b email woman's voice is like nails on the chalk board.
