I'll take the Carol King version.

Happy Trails by Roy Rogers and Dale Evans, covered by Van Halen...better by Van Halen!

Where have all the good times gone by The Kinks, covered by Van Halen...push!

You really got me by the Kinks, covered by Van Halen...better by Van Halen

Nazareth Love Hurts over the Roy Orbison version...

Had no idea that was a Roy Orbison song

Patsy was the cover. Was the cover better than the original?

Actually, I heard an interview with him where he talked very specifically about the song. He wrote it with the intent of selling it to someone for profit, and ended up selling it to Patsy's husband who begged her into recording it (she didn't like the song initially). On that basis, it's kind of debatable as to whether or not it would be a "cover song".

Interesting trivia question. Anyone know what the original lyric was for the song rather than the titular word "crazy"?

In the same interview as the one referenced above, Willie said that the original lyric had been "stupid" rather than "crazy", but after trying to sell it to a couple of singers previous to Patsy, he decided the word needed to be changed because they had all said "stupid" sounded bad.

Roy's version is good but the Nazareth version has got .....!

"Suspicious Minds" - Waylon or Elvis?

"Always on My Mind" - Elvis or Willie?

Elvis--Suspicious Minds

Willie-Always on my mind.

Five Finger Death Punch covering the Animal's "House of the Rising Sun" is very good.

Ace Frehley definitley improved on Hello's "New York Groove".

I didn't know that was a cover. Love that tune.

I didn't know that was a cover. Love that tune.

And, it wasn't written by either................Argent singer Russ Ballard wrote it.

Great tune. Only redeeming thing about the four solo records.
