Driving home from work yesterday listening to NKU's station when they played Bruce Springsteen's original version of "Blinded by the Light". I love me some Bruce but I decided that I liked Manfred Mann's version better.

I am also a fan of Tina Turner's version of "Proud Mary" over John Fogerty's.

What songs do you like better when covered by someone other than the original?

I really like Fugee's cover of Killing Me Softly.

One time. Two times.

Motown used to have 4 different artists sing the same song. I Heard it Through the Grapevine is a perfect example. Give me Marvin Gaye.

It's funny, I read the title to this topic and thought before coming in if you were asking just that....and the song I thought of right off the bat was Blinded by the Light. I love Bruce also but Manfred Man took his song and made it an instant classic. Deffinatley like the remake better than the original.

Rolling Stones version of

Great minds, my friend.... :ylsuper:

I like Five Finger Death Punch covering Bad Company

Justin Moore does a good cover of Motley Crue's Home Sweet Home as well.

If you havent seen the video it's shot in Nashville and has the Crue guys in it. Pretty Cool

Anything Elvis ever covered was better than the original artist.

Garth Brooks - To Make You Feel My Love

Jimmi Hendrix - All Along the Watch Tower.

Yes on Hendrix.

I love the Beatles, but prefer Richie Havens' cover of "Here Comes the Sun".

Apologize - Luke Bryan

Someone Like You - David Nail

Dirt Road Anthem - Brantley Gilbert and Colt Ford
