Jimi Hendrix - All Along the Watch Tower.

Jimi's version of "Hey Joe" was also better than the original by The Leaves.

Johnny Cash "Hurt" is way better than the original

Anything Elvis ever covered was better than the original artist.

Debatable on some, agree on others.

I'd take Joe Cocker's version of "With A Little Help From My Friends" any day over the Beatles version. Rage Against The Machine's take on "Renegades of Funk" is also much better than the original by Afrika Bambaataa.

The band Golden Smog did a fantastic cover of "Shooting Star" that appeared on their EP as well as in "Clerks." Perhaps not better, but stripped-down different, and worthy of a listen.

Another example of not necessarily "better," but good in its own right is the cover of TLC's "Creep" by Cincy's Afghan Whigs.

Crazy - Willie or Patsy?

That's a toss up, for sure! Love both of them!

"Suspicious Minds" - Waylon or Elvis?

"Always on My Mind" - Elvis or Willie?

Crazy - Willie or Patsy?

Justin Moore does a good cover of Motley Crue's Home Sweet Home as well.

If you havent seen the video it's shot in Nashville and has the Crue guys in it. Pretty Cool

Speaking of the Crüe, how about their version of Smokin In The Boys Room vs the original by Brownsville Station.

"Suspicious Minds" - Waylon or Elvis?

"Always on My Mind" - Elvis or Willie?

"Suspicious Minds" Elvis, Dwight Yoakom, and the Waylon/Jessi Colter versions are all great!

I really like Roger Daltry's version of "Don't let the sun go down on me". Maybe not better, but just as much as Elton John's
